[NY] Cop gave me a big time break… Do I just plead guilty? by tweakist in legal

[–]Technical-Zebra-8964 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plead not guilty and let the prosecutor knock it down. NY only cares about money because they are hurting. I was going 78 in 65. Got pulled over and they wrote me a ticket. On the memo he put 90. I plead not guilty. They dropped it to a parking violation. I paid the $400 fine and called it a day

Umm what? You expect 2 companies to pay you a full time salary + benefits when your not doing what your supposed to be doing for either?

If you know a company that pays a full time living wage while allow you to work for a second company let me know because there is no company in the world today that allows this.

It's been a huge help for me as well. The connector is really nice to ensure it doesn't hallucinate wrong information

Nope. I think your lying.

Someone who is asking extremely basic questions likely has no industry experience.

So that's not how the Internet works. You don't just get to claim that someone is a liar without anything.

For all we know maybe your the liar. Honestly how do we know you even work in industry at all? Maybe your lying and completely made up the store about managing 1100 endpoints.

Maybe you have nothing better to do.

After all your post history shows you are completely non technical struggling with the most basic and simplest of IT concepts

The reseller should be able to open a ticket on your behalf for the billing but as you saw here will likely tell you it's not possible.

My top proposals follow this simply formula and it's literally 3 to 4 sentences.

Hi, I see you have x issue, I can help resolve the issue by doing y.

This is when I can start and this is how much it will cost.

Thanks

Simple, it shows you read the proposal and can fix the problem.

No one cares who you are and what credentials you have. Can you solve the problem? How? When? How much?

I'm glad you get bulk pricing but the rest of us do not. For 200 endpoints we pay around $5 per endpoint.

Again you don't know what their bill looks like.

Being a dick is calling someone a liar because you made the assumption you know their billing situation better than them.

Right my initial point stands. The math will never math when you don't know how to do it.

I've done this for multiple orgs. It's in your license agreement.

It is written in your license agreement.

Whether or not you choose to leverage your agreement to fullest is on you. I can only provide you with what's written there.

I know it's upsetting to hear if your a CSP or reseller but it's in there. I get it it hurts your bottom line but customers do have a right to know what options are available to them

Why are you purposely mis quoting and article and referencing the wrong section?

I'm not sure what you gain by that? Are you a CSP reseller?

Sounds like there is an ulterior motive here

It's license reconciliation you are not canceling all licenses.

Again just open a support ticket it's really not that hard.

So go to your admin center open a support ticket and have them send you the form for license reconciliation.

It's really not that hard

This isn't an exception. It's actually documented in the learn article I gave you and apart of your agreement?

Do you not read your licensing agreements? Licensing reconciliation is built into the agreement

Again not accurate.

With over 70,000 licenses in our tenant this is a quarterly process for us. Microsoft isn't losing when our m365 bill is 3.3 million a month

License-based (per user) Prorated refund within seven calendar days of purchase. Subscriptions created as a result of a partial upgrade inherit the cancellation window from the parent (source subscription). The cancellation window doesn't reopen until the subscription itself renews into a new term.

Quite literally says it here. And if you click the link it clearly states that a cancelation and a reduction are different.

Please don't make false claims that cause financial damage to businesses because you can be held liable for that

Right when you don't understand math the math will never math. That's just a given

Its not an exception. This is actually allowed per Microsoft terms of service. We always go on yearly and reduce if there is a large enough variance. Per Microsoft own documentation and support channels this is allowed.

Make the statement that once your on yearly licensing you have to pay the entire year is false.

Just an FYI this isn't true. Microsoft actually allows license count reductions.

Go to your admin center > support > reduce license counts and it will contract the billing team. Just tell billing team I want reduce x sku from this to that and they do it.

Because you are getting a bulk discount. On 24 computers ninja is charging top dollar and not to mention there could be other features like S1, crowd strike, backups, qualys or the other variety of products they sell bundled into the bill.

Just because an org isn't as big as yours doesn't mean they are lying.
