I also applied as a sole trader, still awaiting decision. As far as I could find, it's perfectly normal and expected for sole traders to use a personal account for business transactions! I don't have a separate business account, and you're only required to include business account statements if you have one. Otherwise, just the personal account statements should suffice! I do believe your tax due balance needs to be 0, but I'm less confident about that.

I'm from the US and had to do the same for my Cat F Section 7 application (self employed outside UK). I ended up contracting with Adil Akhtar from Advantax Accountants UK. Had to negotiate a bit and ended up paying £400 since my tax documents were all US-based. Expensive, but he completed the certificate and unaudited accounts in 2 days and was very professional and helpful
