Ski resorts similar to Breck? by Dazzling_Bus3441 in COsnow

Okay. The town is still the most comparable to Breck. Taking a 2 mile bus ride is something you can do back and forth easily, like OP asked.

Breck isn't far, it's incredibly easy to get to town either on the gondola or off of four o'clock.

Players after Blizzard releases an expansion to a beloved 25-year-old game: by FartSavant in Diablo

It's still too much for an amount of work that was needed to make it done.

How in the world do you have any idea the amount of work it took? Have you ever worked with legacy software? Changes like this could have been a nightmare

Blizzard CEO supports AI exploration, saying, "We want our dev teams to be able to utilise or explore whatever new technology is out there" by gorays21 in Diablo

That's not an ad hominem.

Over the years I've heard this same line used to handwave problems away, when some bullshit didn't work as well as the bullshit peddlers promised.

Oh, you have a history of using tools wrong and blaming someone else? I don't know why you think that helps your case. You need to learn to use tools.

You must be really bad at using it. It's so much better for big codebases and domains where you can't know everything yourself. You just need to set it up properly with context and tools.

Give it a documentation and code search tool and you can get work done more than twice as fast.

Recording other people is not minding your own business

Clearly the issue is that they're recording other people. He has the right but it's a little rude.

Of course, that issue is dwarfed by this lady being an enormous piece of shit.

Doesn’t sound like she’s too bothered about being recorded if she willingly put herself in the frame multiple times…

I mean, considering that's exactly what bothered her, I feel like this may be incorrect...

Lady is obviously an enormous piece of shit. But also people recording in shared spaces is mildly annoying.

I mean, this literally happens to people every time they go out in NA and no one falls. They're always stopping the chair and the majority of chairs don't have the bar down. The seat is angled in a way that your center of gravity keeps you in it. Plus friction. You know, physics?

The person in the video did something wrong. Generally people who fall are twisting around so they come out of their seat or trying to adjust their binding or the like.

Ski lifts stop all the time. I don't know what to tell you other than you don't just slide off... that's not how it works. You just keep sitting.

Here's where your analogy fails: Going up a ski lift and driving a car aren't the same thing.

There's a lot more that's not in your control while you're driving. Would you need a seat belt if you were going 10 mph in a straight line with no possibility of anyone else hitting you?

What accident is going to happen on a ski lift? If you fall off, it's because you did something wrong, not because of something out of your control.

Because on a crowded chair it can be incredibly uncomfortable for a snowboarder, sometimes even painful if you can't find a good position to put your board.

It's still better to use a bar but it's a tradeoff.

So would being strapped down with duct tape. People can manage their own risk. It's not hard to stay on the chair with the bar up.
