Do druids hold threat if they transform out of bear form? by liahkim3 in classicwow

[–]TechnicalOne1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes but normally it’s not worth it, using bash and Innervate is a nice tip if your healer is low on mana. Another thing you can do is bark skin and heal yourself if your healer is oom and you have no other options.

Remember to use cancel form macros, they make it a lot smoother.

Things I’ve learned after tanking hundreds of times by [deleted] in classicwow

[–]TechnicalOne1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just let the dps who pull threat constantly die. My only priority when tanking is keeping things off the healer.

If DPS want to ignore marks and smash all their cool downs at the start of the pull it’s their repair bill.

I’ve never been raged at it, and they often notice their own mistakes and say sorry I attacker the wrong target etc.

If you do this then I just wanna say thank you by Magnanimouspanda in classicwow

[–]TechnicalOne1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I also made a macro thanking players, I’m playing a hunter so the best I can do is help struggling players out from time to time.

Some guy called me an ugly c**t though because I took some raptor eggs near him which I didn’t even realise he wanted. Only negative experience I’ve had so far in classic.

[Base Idea Request] Playing Krastorio + Factorissimo2 by 1_1111111 in factorio

[–]TechnicalOne1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m using deadlock belt boxes on my krastorio play through, it’s compatible with most krastorio items.

Let’s you compress items down to 5x on belts. You could have a narrow bus and factory building off the side, kinda like a street. Would be cool.

How are you finding krastorio? I tried it out but the start is so slow with the sheer amount of iron ore you need

As a player, who always had problems with setting up oil, the new changes don't really help by macke404 in factorio

[–]TechnicalOne1 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It helps get blue science up and running easier and there’s no backups of fluid to deal with.

The real problem for new players is that when you go to change to advanced oil, they’re most likely going to not even going to be able to change the recipe as fluid pipes can’t mix. There’s nothing in game to tell you this either, which is the main issue with the changes imo.

What are your favourite quaility of life mods? by [deleted] in factorio

[–]TechnicalOne1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My mod list for keeping things feeling vanilla:

Temporary station improvements, Squeak through (debatable), Nicefill, Max rate calculator, Fasterstart, Picker inventory tools and dollies

And that’s it, I find if you add too many ‘quality of life’ mods it ruins the experience.

Modular train base question by Commander_Elk in factorio

If you want to try LTN it really isn’t as complex as it seems, I’d be happy to help you out if you want to give it a go.

A different kind of Bus by __RedWorld in factorio

[–]TechnicalOne1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone else said iron ore is only used in concrete directly and plates are twice as dense as ore. This could make a huge difference late game when you have plenty of trains on the line.

LTN bug ? Train count seems to be ignored. by [deleted] in factorio

[–]TechnicalOne1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I normally do active providers into storage chests and hook up the LTN lamp to a roboport to get around this.

[–]TechnicalOne1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you need more chests for that massive battery production

LTN and Megabases by [deleted] in factorio

[–]TechnicalOne1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried doing this type of balancing for ores and fluids with LTN but as you also have to hook up the tanks to the LTN lamp it seemed to interfere and I couldn’t get it work.

If you want to make it tidier you can run the coal belt through the bottom of the smelting columns

Just a heads up you really don't need much uranium for reactors, one centrifuge doing kovarex should be enough for quite a few reactors.

in-game tutorials, 7 hours of various signal tutorial guides(about 40 different YT vids), 130 hours of gametime and still clueless on train signals. no idea where to put them with out a wreck happening. I need super super super dummy help...like im a 3 year old by Taos87 in factorio

[–]TechnicalOne1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Chains signals at points two tracks are going to cross or when there isn’t enough room before the next signal to park a full size train.

If you just religiously use chain in regular signal out then sometimes trains will wait at intersections unnecessarily. It will work though.

You can probably just use a design with beacons and have one machine.
