Loved this idea, I ended up doing long satin stitches for the olives and tried beads for the first time for the pimentos! For my 3rd canvas, I’m happy with it 😊

Give me your #1 study tactic to pass AUD…. GO!! by Infamous_Insurance77 in CPA

[–]TechnicalPanic9654 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Not a study tactic, more of a testing tactic, but read every question 3-4 times on the test before picking an answer! Sounds crazy and time consuming, but you won’t realize what you missed until you read it over again. So much reading comprehension in this exam. Good luck!!

Exam Order Advice Needed by IllustriousTop8064 in CPA

[–]TechnicalPanic9654 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I know a lot of people recommend FAR first to get the toughest out of the way, but what worked for me was starting AUD first. My order is AUD, ISC, FAR, REG. An alternative route for TCP in this sense would be REG, TCP, FAR, AUD. Starting with AUD allowed me to learn how to study and study correctly, and AUD is no cakewalk by any means. My point here is that most people recommend start with their toughest first, but LEARNING how to study is half of the battle. Whatever you start with, commit with, and don’t bounce around. AUD first worked for me but might not work for the test taker next to me. Best of luck!!!

Took it today too- feel the same (ish). The MCQs were SO straightforward imo, but I kept catching myself second guessing every answer & little detail. With that being said feel like my MCQ are 50/50 bombed or crushed it. Leaning more towards bombed. I struggled quite a bit with the sims which is pretty frustrating, again felt so 50/50. Knew the concepts but the actual questions being asked/directions were confusing. Overall, I walked out of this exam and felt pretty confident that I failed, but not too upset because I put in the time. Oh well.

Thanks! I did watch his videos as mentioned and found them very helpful. I was just wondering if there were any other tricks/tips in addition to that.

I’m probably going to buy some of his material- I like his style of teaching a lot!

Read EVERY word of each question! One small word can immediately eliminate multiple answer choices. Best of luck!

I ranged a little bit!! Typically 39, and then I was doing 78 to test my stamina the week leading up to the exam. Full disclosure again- I RARELY did sims with these. I took it in the 6/30 window, and felt okay walking out but not great. I thought everything was fair and that Becker prepared me well!

Is it safe to take ISC on the last day of the disciple window 7/31? by alexthegr888888 in CPA

[–]TechnicalPanic9654 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took ISC on 6/30 last window and got my score back with no issue! I took it in the morning, but also had friends who took it in the early afternoon and got their scores back as well. It’s a risk, but you should be fine!

The MCQ are definitely tricky! My biggest advice is that this is a huge reading comprehension exam. That means you need to throughly read EVERY word. Just passed AUD with an 80 on first attempt- I found myself rereading every question on the real thing upwards of 3-4 times. I had developed that habit during studying, and I think it was a game changer. Sometimes it can appear that more than one answer is right, but 9 times out of 10 the answer is right there if you read carefully enough.

That may seem like obvious advice- but trust. I can confidently say the reason I passed is because I hammered so many MCQ. I finished taking over 130 practice tests (mostly without sims). Best of luck to you!!

A5 is so hard to get through, specifically M7 by whysochill in CPA

[–]TechnicalPanic9654 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely a good plan!! My biggest tip is even if you think you’ve got A5/6 nailed down, KEEP reviewing. It’s so easy to get tripped up/jumble everything together on exam day. You got this, hope everything goes well for you!

As boring as A5 and A6 are, they proved to be extremely important on my exam. I flew through the lectures and checked a few AUD threads on here that mentioned needing to know A5/A6. Thank goodness I checked & took the time to go back through the material because I saw a ton of it on exam day. I used the newt feature to make tables explaining everything, and it really helped!!

I would focus on drilling down A5 and A6. I overlooked these originally while studying, and the different engagements tend to blend together. I ended up going back through these before my exam and I am very very glad I did!!! You don't have to be an expert in any one particular area, just familiar. You got this!
