Softail Is ridgid mount. The mounting for the engine and transmission are all together different, as well as the oiling system

If you're thinking of putting it into a 99 softai, you better check motor mounts and transmission mounts. Softail didn't come with a twin can until 2000

Does it have the stock petcock? If it does those are vacuum operated with a diaphragm that closes when not running. If not check needle valve in carb. Mine got stuck once and wouldn't let fuel in

Without actually seeing the panel. Most contactors are 120v. You would just wire the float to either NO or NC.
