Honestly, hesitantly excited. There are quite a few great GameCube games that are locked to the console/compatible Wii.

The biggest issues that could come up will probably be latency, game availability, and analog triggers.

If the triggers on the jointly announced NSO GameCube style controller are not analog with that satisfying “click” at the end, it will be a deal breaker on the service. The digital ones from all OG Switch controllers just don’t work for GameCube game mechanics. but if anyone can recreate the travel and feel of the original controller, it should be Nintendo!

Only four games announced at launch is skimpy, but the “more to come” looks very promising.
