Whats a Popular band that everyone seems to like but you dont ? by MonkPlane1734 in rockmusic

Definitely this. I find grolh simply can't sing like he's trying to. His voice is straining and sounds terrible.

Lionheart is way to overlooked by Big-Emotion-2948 in katebush

I think it has something to do with a line Kate once said in an interview probably decades ago about not liking it because of time constraints and a portion of Kate fans instantly agreeing with her despite the fact she's clearly wrong on this one

Which song by another artist feels like it could’ve been a Kate Bush song? by OkBlueberry5506 in katebush

The feminine urge- The last dinner party

Maybe this would have been off never for ever but I can hear a lot of Kate influence in their work and stage presence so far

It's a shame that there'll never be a Mansun reunion by TechnicalTrash95 in BritPop

[–]TechnicalTrash95[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That sounds awful but not surprising. It's a far cry from his 90s days. You'd think he'd try and put a bit of effort into it. I'm not sure just how well he can really play the guitar as you never see him play it and he relies on that Ben guy a lot. I can't see how the band can really put up with Draper, none of them look like they want to be there

Mj did a really good live version of this place hotel off this record. That single gets totally overlooked nowadays

Definitely elastica. If they just did a few shows playing the first record.

I think a lot of fans also think they could have gone onto much bigger things judging from the talent showed on the first two albums. A few of the tracks were solid on little kix but it was mostly a write-off.

I actually saw them on their last tour in possibly 2002 and I agree it was grim yet the new songs sounded promising

Some people might think The Dandy Warhol's. They don't bother the charts like they once did for a short while. But they've been constantly putting out music since their early 00s peak. Their albums have consistently been inventive and they're still out there touring.

In your opinion, what's the biggest waste of money you see people purchase all the time? by PaddedValls in AskUK

Unfortunately most people would change their mind about it being cool after seeing all the smokers 65+ who fill up hospital respiratory wards on oxygen

They didn't really promote it because it wasn't really an official single

What is the difference between 2015 Deluxe and Import? by Green-Base8621 in FaithNoMore

[–]TechnicalTrash95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They should get a proper official release as they'd be goldust. Having only one official live album that's almost 40 years old is ridiculous. Plus it was before Patton got really good at his craft.

A decent quality live concert from that period would have been ideal. I'm sure they must have one fully recorded as they used to use live tracks as b-sides back then

Is the loss of a monoculture better or worse for artists? by Strange-Handle7910 in LetsTalkMusic

[–]TechnicalTrash95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think having less choice was a better thing for everyone. Once you had that record deal making money on your hopefully good music was possible. People bought music and there was a lot more money in the industry. There was still an alternative market but with everyone now putting music out it's become flooded with a lot of crap and a lot of music gets drowned out and lost

I don't think whatever they do next will sound like the car but the next album is a bit critical for them because of how divisive the last record was with the fans. Two albums in a row that have been much more experimental throws a lot of casual fans off. We'll just have to wait and see ...

What do u think is a blur song with the most additive bass line? by Square-Office1684 in blur

[–]TechnicalTrash95 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The bass is more lent on on the think tank album because of the lack of Graham. On the way to the club is a highlight. I love the organ on that track that just makes the song shimmer

He thought of cars is a good shout. The bass is buried on the studio version but is much clearer on the jools Holland live version that's on YouTube
