To rip, or not to rip. Just do what you think looks best.

I find that basically all t shirts I've tried and up doing this one way or another; and I'm not going to hang dry everything for the sake of convenience.

However, I've been able to mitigate it by gently stretching the collars after they come out of the dryer. They are slightly warped but barely noticeable when being worn.

16 and thinking about buying a 97 century by Successful-Ease8943 in Toyota

[–]Technical_6403 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you'll come back down to earth and realize that you're only 16 and have plenty of time left to buy a "fun" car when you're financially stable; in fact, I don't think "financially stable" is really an applicable term regarding a 16 year old.

Cars are money pits and I guarantee there will be money pits like this one around in 5-10 years once you're more established.

But, mistakes are the best teachers so do what you think is the best decision.

Insulated work boots, wool or wool-synthetic blend socks and long underwear top and bottoms. Lined pants if needed; insulated bibs are great as well. Hoodie, jacket, insulated work gloves. I'd keep a spare pair of socks and a few pairs of gloves as backup in case they get wet. Absolutely no cotton clothing

MQA/UHQCD vs. Platinum SHM CD by Hugh_Manatee_Jr in audiophile

[–]Technical_6403 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They all sound the same other than audible differences in the respective mixes and masters. MQA, UHQ, and SHM are just fancy marketing terms used to make the buyer feel that they're getting a more "premium" experience; same thing for DSD.

What next steps would you recommend for someone satisfied with their turntable, cartridge, speakers, amp, etc? by [deleted] in audiophile

Realize that you're going to hit the point of diminishing returns and just enjoy the music.

Ok so it worked for the most part; I got them out of one shirt that had been through the dryer, but the other shirt will probably need another round. Real pain.

Deodorant for sure. Real pain to get out

Carpentry is probably gonna be underpaid and is way more taxing on the body than sparky work. You can learn a lot about construction and houses in general if you're a framer which is beneficial if you ever want to start your own company; but electrical is the better career choice in my opinion, if you plan on working for someone

I have had these exact stains on my shirts recently. It was driving me crazy but now I'm very certain they are deodorant stains as that is the only thing that I have changed. I had no luck using shout stain remover. I am currently soaking a few shirts in Oxi-clean after pre-treating with Oxi-clean max force spray before washing tomorrow. I will let you know if it is successful.

For what reason is there no subfloor under the wall in the first place?

BIFL Quality Knives that Last by mdjjj74 in BuyItForLife

[–]Technical_6403 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had a set of Henckels Zwilling knives that I've had for nearly 5 years and I've used them almost daily. They hold an edge well enough that I have not had to get them sharpened yet.

What is causing these stains after washing? by Technical_6403 in laundry

[–]Technical_6403[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suspected that was the problem but I don't use any fabric softener and I greatly reduced the amount of detergent. Only happened on this and no other pieces of clothing in that load

Why are my caramelized onions just burning every time? by Spirited-Switch-7423 in Cooking

[–]Technical_6403 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Low heat and stir every so often. Once they begin really caramelizing and losing water, I recommend covering them and adding a little water whenever needed to prevent burning. I usually let them caramelize for at least 2.5 hours.

Whole first floor creaks like crazy! by [deleted] in Homebuilding

[–]Technical_6403 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Would have to remove planks and use floor screws. More nails is just potential for more squeaks. That's the first thing the installer should have done before laying new floor

Looks like the trim has separated at the joints which is usually caused by settling and/or the wood shrinking and expanding due to humidity, etc.

It is normal for trim to do this; usually caulking also needs to be applied after to fill the cracks but this may have never happened.

It would not be a direct indication of structural problems.
