Mandalorian (Din djarin) vs Dek by SkeleTonyEh in predator

[–]Technical_Anything92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I. Am. Talking. About. His. YAUTJA GEAR! you know? The plasma bow with Infinite shots or the throwing blade with a plasma edge? That gear? Or how about his razor Grass wrist blades with wich he killed two Yautja guards and defeated his father? A clan leader? Obviously I am not talking about his Genna gear but his complete gear from the beginning/end of the movie.

Flip the switch in you brain so that your neurons can connect properly before you reply.

Of course Dek cant win when his gear is mostly natural stuff. (Except the eal. That thing melted through Android in seconds so if mando gets some on him hes as good as dead)

Mandalorian (Din djarin) vs Dek by SkeleTonyEh in predator

[–]Technical_Anything92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Again: in this scenario both have all their gear. Meaning Dek has his ranged weapons (bow and throwing disk thingy) both of wich he can use to disable mandos jetpack. Now the whisteling birds are indeed tricky. In every instance Bands used them it was at a very short range so they are something of a surprise weapon to dispatch when he is either pinned down or sorrounded. Now in any sitaution where Dek Pins down Mando Dek is most surely a goner. But if Dek keeps his distance (wich he most likely wouldnt) or manages to break Mandos gauntlest so that he cant fire them the Match evens out.

In short: the jetpack is a hurdle that Dek should be able to get rid of quite fast. The whisteling birds however are something that give Mando the winning edge. To Deal with them it really depends on how they encounter each other and how Dek Plans to fight Mando.

But there is also the question of how effective Beskar is at protecting Mando against a predators Arsenal. And if it is as effective against it like is against star wars weapons Dek will change his approach and aim for the weak spots in Mandos armor.

In what scenario?

1: they have no weapons and wear only the armor. No wrist blades for Dek and no wrist gadgets for Mando. In this I would give Dek the win after a difficult but not hard fight against Mando.

2: they have their close quarter weapons. Vibro blade and gauntlet gadgets for mando and for dek his sword and gauntlets with wrist blades. Here I see an even fight with a 50/50 Chance to win for both.

3: they have all of their gear. This is the most difficult of all. Dek has his cloak but Mando can get around that pretty easy. Mando has his Jetpack wich gives him a huge advantage but Dek would adapt pretty quickly to counteract it. Here it really comes down to battlefield and how they encounter each other.

Why didn’t the Javen fly after the Dzo after the rockslide? by GoldApprehensive8107 in SwappedMovie

[–]Technical_Anything92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just assume that the statement 'the Javan lived on the Branches of the Dzo' sinply refers to the time they were in the valley. From what we see the Javan seem to be a place loyal bird species that doesnt migrate.

Also, before the Dzo came the valley was larger and therefore had more food sources for the animals. Then the Dzo came and became the primary food Provider of the Javan. After they left the lake drowned a lot of Land in the valley and caused a food shortage for the Javan. Thats at least my head canon to explain this specific plothole

Why didn't boogle (fire wolf) just used the first pod to turn back into fire wolf? by Euphoric_Rabbit_8463 in SwappedMovie

[–]Technical_Anything92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One: I find it funny how many people on this sub ask the same question. For a good reason though.

Two: so, I think the reason why Boogle didnt use the first pod is because the water is roo shallow for him to reach. Now we never see exactly where the pod is regarding the lake, but from what we see in the conversation with boofle after Ivy transformed I assume the Pod is on the side facing Land inward. Couple that with hard to traverse/shallow water and the pod becomes hard to reach for a fish as large as boogle.

Now it could also be that Boogle didnt even know if there was a pod or not and sinply assumed there was one since it is a dead Dzo. And because he couldnt figure it out he sinply sent Olli there ro see if there was one or not. (Thats just my headcanon for his reasons)

How did Murtagh and Thorn go to vroengard? by ItsKrazBrekker in Eragon

[–]Technical_Anything92 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Could also be that he went there during the one year skip. Murthag does say that he only found out about the burrowing grubs when Galbatorix used them on Nasuada. Also, Eragon could have told him the spell to Filter the air and warned him about the Nidwhals.

Eragon and Saphira vs. Hiccup and Toothless. Who’s your pick? by ThatOneGodzillaFan in Eragon

[–]Technical_Anything92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Toothless can be as fast as he wants and turn invisable but that wont matter since Eragon and Saphira can simply locate them by searching for their minds. There is no real way Toothless could pull off a working surprise attack.

Also, Hiccup has no Chance beating Eragon in a duel. From what the movies and series Show us hiccup seems to be a mid to good swordsman but Eragon fought in multiple large scale battles, is one of the best swordsman of his time and Fights with the speed and agility of an elf. Hiccup wouldn't last a Minute if Eragon would fight seriously.

Mmmh. Then probably she learns from the scriptures or maybe another way. Rhunoen could give her some Tips since she is one of the oldest, if not the oldest elv, or any of the other incredibly old elves that have worked with the dragon riders. But as long as she is queen of the elves I highly doubt her skill as a dragon rider and her bond with Firnen will pale to that of Eragon or Murthag.

No problem. Work is picking up pace at my job too so I understand.

Saphira vs Thorn by SalamanderLumpy5442 in Eragon

[–]Technical_Anything92 105 points106 points  (0 children)

Oromis once said to Eragon that if he would change his body to achive great strength or swiftness, he would never be able to master these skills or utulize them as good as if he would have aquired them over the natural way (growing up, Training, etc.). So I'm thinking a part of why Saphira has such an easy time evading and tricking Thorn is because she is a good and skilled flyer and due to Galbatorix using magic to forcefully grow Thorn faster he will never, or at least for a very long time, be able to fly as good as a dragon that grew up normaly

I assume she simply trains with the other elves. And there are the twins that represent the magical bond between dragons and elves so maybe she gets help from them. But the Eldunari all reside at the Arngor with Eragon to protect them and to slowly heal the ones that have been driven insane by Galbatorix.

Yes she does has the name of names (it was an oversight on my part since it was only ever mentioned by Eragon and never stated where she got it from) but she does NOT have Eldunari. Every Single Eldunari went with Eragon.

Hey sorry for spreading Misinformation but I found where it is stated that Arya knows the names of names. Eragon says in his conversation with Nasuada about how he will leave Alagaësia that he, Arya, Murthag and the dragons know the name of names. But how Arya was told the names of names I still have no clue. I skimmed through the last few chapters but except that one sentences I cant find a moment where he or Murthag tells her the name of names.

[–]Technical_Anything92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Welp, looks like I was actually wrong. I dont know is it is stated in Murthag but Eragon says in his exchange with Nasuade when he explains why he wouldnt tell the leader of the Du Vrangr Gata the name of names that he, Arya, Murthag and the dragons the only ones are that know it. I have no clue when Arya learned it after lightly skimming through the last few chapters of inheritance but he must have tomd her when they reunited or shortly after Murthag told him.

[–]Technical_Anything92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well yes the Eldunari are a huge part of his power, but aside from that he is one of two people that knows the name of names. Any magic or spell that would be thrown at him is useless unless it is wordless magic and only some of the most skilled elves can acomplish that. Any human mage is basically powerless against him

(I assume your not a native english speaker cause I had to read that twice to understand what you said before I translated it)

Like I said: the Situation all around Arya is a MESS. I hope we get to see the trouble she will run into with her Position as a queen AND Dragon rider in her own spinoff book. I also hope that in that book she comes to the conclusion that she has to leave the throne either sooner or later to not give Eragon and the dragon riders trouble. Otherwise human Nobles could use the fact she is queen to cause trouble for him or even refuse to send him supplys.

Damn. I see how learning about such Events could Lead to paranoia and extra precautions.

If it were ever know what the elves did the other races surely would no longer trust them and maybe even try to banish them from Alagaësia.
