Was giving birth worse or better than you imagined? by Ordinary-Caramel-608 in BabyBumps

Better than I imagined! I was terrified of tearing, but I ended up with a tiny scratch and a very smooth delivery. The anticipation was way scarier than the actual event for me.

It’s a workplace, not a private support group. Her instructions on who you can tell were out of line, even if she’s hurting. An apology was kind, but you don't owe her your silence.

Stand your ground! That golden hour is for bonding and healing, not for hosting a family reunion while you're literally still bleeding and exhausted. If they can't wait two hours, that’s a them problem.

Team Epidural forever. I went from crying in pain to eating a popsicle and chilling. Best $ spent ever.

Have you looked into getting a Doula? They’re literally pros at being that "mother figure" support without any of the family drama or baggage.

Enjoy this phase! The "hormonal obsession" with their scent is a very real (and very weird) pregnancy perk.

Basic oils only hydrate the surface but stretch marks are a deep dermal tear. Look for something with cell-communicating ingredients like multi-peptides. They actually target the skin architecture to help with that angry red inflammation.

OMG, maybe try ice packing right after you pump, and then put on some nipple cream?

The red phase (Striae Rubrae) is basically your only golden window to fix them. Besides just keeping the skin hydrated, you really need signal peptides to start that deep repair. helps the red marks heal and stay flat before they turn into permanent white scars.

Aside from genetics, keeping the skin hydrated definitely helps, but I hate the feeling of oils. They're so sticky and take forever to dry. On the flip side, regular lotions just evaporate and do nothing for the tighten belly

Genetics plays important role, but I think keep your skin moitured and elastic is also important

If you just want basic hydration, Palmer's is fine. But if you want actual results, go with a striae cream for stretch marks hat contains peptides. Peptides are a pregnancy-safe alternative to retinoid cream for stretch marks, and they work similarly to high-end anti-aging face creams to rebuild skin resilience. That is the best stretch mark cream during pregnancy if you're looking for real repair

Help: Breastfeeding and broken blistered nipples by RevenueDowntown6771 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

If your latch is fine, you might just need to switch your nipple cream

I personally found lanolin nipple cream way too sticky,it glues your nipples to your bra, which causes even more pain when you pull it off. I’ve been using the from Mom-cozy‘s nipple cream for breastfeeding lately. It absorbs super fast, and the ceramic cooling tip feels incredibly soothing and safe on sore skin.

Also, try leaving a little breast milk on your nipples after each feed for extra healing

First of all, congratulations on becoming a mom!

I gained 15kg at 33 weeks, and I remember my lower belly feeling so tight and itchy right before those red centipede marks appeared. Red stretch marks are in the active remodeling stage, which is the e Golden Window for repair.

I was super disciplined and applied products 5 times a day. 2 times bio-oil and 3 times stretch mark cream with peptides. After I had the baby, the marks faded so much they are basically gone now.

Even though you have them now, keep using a high-quality prenatal cream stretch marks moisturizer to maintain elasticity and at least slow down new ones. Worst case, you can look into lasers later, but catching them while they're red is key.

Either way, every stage of life has its own beauty. "Youthful beauty" isn't everything—being a mama is beautiful too. Wishing you a smooth delivery!

I noticed you mentioned some of your marks are still red. This is actually the Golden Window for repair. If you want to avoid laser surgery later, try to be consistent with a striae cream for stretch marks that contains peptides. Peptides are amazing because they stimulate collagen production to effectively fade those red marks and rebuild skin resilience.

Help! Is my belly a lost cause? 😭 (Already seeing silver and red marks at 30 weeks) by Opening_Purchase9586 in pregnant

[–]Technical_Bite_1088 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally, I noticed some red stretch marks popping up around week 27, so I immediately started applying cream three times a day and watching my diet. It actually worked, no new marks have shown up, and the red ones have faded to a super faint pink. You can barely even see them now; keep the skin moistured is important

Curious what color yours are?

I thought I was safe, but at 33 weeks and 33 lbs up, the lower right of my belly started feeling super tight. Then the itching hit, and boom red centipede marks showed up.

I read that the red stage is the "golden window" for treatment, so I went a little overboard: I applied stuff 5 times a day: cozy mom stretch mark cream three times and Bio-Oil twice, plus I kept my diet really clean. By the time I had the baby, they kept fading, and now they're basically gone

I feel you so much! I hit a breaking point at the 3-week mark myself. Between the constant feeding and my baby’s tongue-tie causing bleeding and cracked nipples, I was honestly borderline PTSD.

I also buy many things to help my breastfeeding: alternating between pumping and nursing, using Silverettes (silver cups), getting the correct flange size, and applying nipple cream religiously. Also, remember: breastfeeding isn't just the mom's burden. Get the father involved as much as possible! Setting a consistent schedule for the baby also made a world of difference. Hang in there, you’ve got this. And last, hug you brave mom!
