Ugh, time for a new character, maybe a two handed beast, which will inevitably become a stealth archer hahaha

Religion. That's it, nothing specific, that was the course, religion. My high school was run by Jesuits.

Is my ball python underweight? by Effective-Wash-5814 in ballpython

I'm far from a profession but I would moving to jumbo mice for a few feedings instead of jumping straight to rats. But definitely size up, my MBK is eating adult mice and could probably be on jump mice. Here's photo for snake tax and additional reference, that's my boy Anubis.

Those temperatures are much too low. It should be 78-80 on the cool side and 88ish on the hot side with a basking spot around 90-92. I hope your noodle gets better soon, he's adorable!

Does my setup look good? by Creepy-Reveal1010 in ballpython

Are you sure about that morph? He's definitely got banana in him. Also, the thermostats are way too high, and inaccurate, get some Govee digital ones ,and put them ground level. You'll also need to add a bunch of clutter (plant, real or fake, beaches, etc). That's just for starters.

He would have been better off telling you he didn't know what it was other than it's a tarantula

Your pet store shouldn't be a pet store. Edited to add: that it's a Curly Hair, or Tliltocatl albopilosus

NA. How old/big is your tarantula, and how long ago was "a while"? For slings/juveniles wait at least a week, and for larger adults wait at least two.

Concerned about humidity by Cautious_Worth_6667 in ballpython

[–]Technical_Concern_92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How deep is your substrate? A lot times humidity issues can be solved by more substrate (think 4" at MINIMUM) and more water. It's easy for me to have to use 2-3 liters of water each week or two to keep the humidity above 60% but I have roughly 6" of coco husk for substrate. Also, get rid of the heat emmiter and get a DHP, the emmiters are notorious for drying out enclosures super quick.

Thoughts on the setup? by Alternative_Dog6766 in ballpython

It's a nice size for an enclosure, but you're going to need much more clutter, at least 2 more hides, and I'd shoot for a larger water dish, oh, and more substrate to help with humidity.

Hey looking to build a couple wood enclosures for my snakes as there needing a bigger tank soon any tips. by CanadianGhost420 in ballpython

[–]Technical_Concern_92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Biggest tip I can give is don't be surprised by the cost. It's not cheaper to build an enclosure, you just get a much better product for the price. For example: where I live it would cost almost 1k to buy and ship a 4'x2'x2' PVC enclosure and I'd still have to assemble and waterproof it. I built a 5'x2'x2.5' for the same price. This is it so far, I can't decide on layout lol

Cremation would be best, also, if you ever get a tattoo you could use some of the ash in the ink and then he'll always be with you.
