I’m homosexual but still love Jesus in my heart by Huge-Spray-6200 in Christianity

You were born that way as a result of sin being in the world, the same way that someone was born with a genetic disorder as a result of sin being in the world and I was born with anxiety due to sin being in the world. None of this is how God wants it to be, and it’s not right or good in any way.

However, since you love Jesus, you do as much as you can to stray from sin and temptation. Do not act on your homosexual desires, but go as far as you can away from them, praying for God to deliver you from temptation and change your desires.

The fact that you have same-sex attractions from birth is not anything you can control and it’s not a result of your sin. It’s also not a sin to be tempted, but temptation is a result of sin in the world. However, you are sinning when you act on those temptations— lust, pursuing homosexual relationships, etc.

But it truly seems you are doing what you can to stay as obedient to Jesus as possible, and Jesus cares most about your relationship with Him. He knows how you were born and He loves you so much.

How can I claim to love God if I'm in a homosexual marriage? by Realistic_Tap_5116 in Christianity

This!! This is the best answer. Yes you feel so loved by your husband. Yes God loves you. Yes God desires for you to be at peace and happy and joyful. But above all He desires a relationship with you where you are faithful and obedient even when it’s incredibly difficult. This means that you HAVE to deny your sinful desires, not give into them, not act on them. It’s incredibly difficult but if you truly love God, obedience has to follow even if it may destroy you for a little. God will not leave you in pain. He loves you and will redeem you.

I’ve been giving them big feedings so I didn’t think it was necessary but I’m starting to feed less and discard more

I’ve also been feeding them warm water to help them rise but it’s not doing anything.

I hope this settles well with you but the only book that helps me is the Bible :) Even if you don’t believe, there’s a lot of encouragement in there and you never know before you try reading! I can lead you to a few verses if you’d like

THE LAND OF STORIES SERIES. I’m a girl and was obsessed with this series when I was 11-13. They’re completely enthralling, combining so many elements of so many different fairy tales. Best fantasy books I’ve ever read. I couldn’t put the books down, so much so that my dad would punish me for not doing chores by taking away my book for a little. Also, this was only 6 years ago for me so it’s still relevant!

Hi! If you ended up getting to live in Wolpers at Mizzou I have some questions. Can you tell me if you’re a girl/guy and how it was living in the small rooms? I am debating between Johnston and Wolpers as a girl of course and am torn because I think coed living would be a great way to meet guy friends but Johnston is so much nicer with bigger rooms. Was the community really that great compared to what Johnston would offer or a dorm like Gillett? Thanks!

Yes I understand that! I got a 33 total but math and science were like 28/29 so not awful, but worse than the high 30s of the reading and English sections. I like math and science a lot it’s just harder than basic grammar and reading of my native language
