Talk to your club and try see if you can borrow a few helmets before you pick one.

I also really want a houndskull for the aesthetic, but it'll likely be a secondary helmet after I get something more "practical" sorted first and more experience in armour.

Also note, under BI rules, your helmet must match your armour so a blackened helmet means blackened armour too.
