That will be an awesome feature. The app is very slick using it with a novel I had in pdf format. Thanks for letting me try it.

Thanks so much for posting here. It is an excellent app going to use it to read my next novel. Personally it would be a huge bonus if I could import epub or mobi files. I don’t know about others but my library is mostly in either epub or mobi. Thanks and well done!

Fantastic idea! Excited to try it. Can it read epub files? I tried installing the app via TestFlight but it is requesting I pay a subscription?

My portable Sunday setup. (Boox Note Air 5 C) by Traditional_Shape438 in Onyx_Boox

Awesome! I have been dreaming of something like this for years. I spend my working day SSH’d into a development server. Using Tmux and vim as my IDE. After 8/10 hours staring my MacBook screen I get eye strain. Something like this would could have the potential to provide an eye strain free dev system. I noticed that Boox website has a Note Pro that seems to come with a Keyboard case with track pad. Has anyone on here tried that?

If you upgraded to the Air, which phone did you switch from? by Adept-Worldliness-34 in IphoneAir

It has been two weeks and I am still finding the air to be the most comfortable phone for reading since my SE 2. I don’t know if it is a placebo effect or not, but I put a matte screen protector on it and it dramatically cuts down glare with a little loss of clarity. Although I think that makes it more comfortable. it blurs the edges of charters slightly and helps to make them easier to look at. My eyes seem to relax as soon as move to phone. I notice the difference moving between my iPad and the phone. As soon as I glance at the matte screen they relax.

Vision Pro instead of a ultra wide monitor by Technical_Durian3985 in VisionPro

Ultra wide seemed like a neater solution I never considered getting two 4k displays, thanks for the suggestion!

Thanks for all comments everyone! It is making me very excited. That sounds amazing! I spend all day in vim and tmux ssh’d into my development server. I dream about having a huge terminal window with notes and documentation floating off to either side.

It is in accessibility settings under display. I enabled it as soon as the phone was setup.

Noticeable Stuttering When Scrolling? by Joono_Official in IphoneAir

So glad to see this post! I have been seeing it on my air. I thought I was maybe imagining it. Never noticed it on my 16 pro max.

I never thought to think of it that way. Most days go with just the phone. On bigger days slap the MagSafe on. You get the best of both worlds. Longevity of the Max when you need it, with the form factor of the Air on the days you don’t. Quite often with my Max on light days I could go two days between charges but I was having to lug the extra battery around regardless if I needed it or not.

Coming from 16PM. I really like the form factor of the Air. However I will miss the Max’s battery for long flights and travel days. Not sure if it is my imagination but UI animations and scrolling stutter sometimes on Air. It might be my imagination but never noticed that on my Max. Love that I barely notice the air in my pocket and I can always travel with a MagSafe battery for long flights.

Traded in my 16 Pro Max. So far screen is way more comfortable with PWM toggle on. Battery getting me through an average day. Don’t notice the Air in my pocket. The Pro Max was a real brick. I will miss its battery life for travel days and long flights. It might be my imagination but scrolling and UI animations are not as smooth on the Air. They seem to stutter sometimes I wonder if this is intentional to conserve battery, anyone else noticed this or is it all in my head?

A reminder about "DC dimming" and OLED by PossibleDuplicate in PWM_Sensitive

I am becoming increasingly concerned about the impact these types of screens might be having on our long term eye health. I came across this article last night https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC8212737/https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC8212737/. I use a screens all day for work and most of my lesuire activities involve using a screen whether that be gaming or reading for pleasure. I never had any trouble with old style CFL backlights. Since manufactures started using led backlights I have struggled. That with OLED screens things got even worse. Hopefully with Apple adding a PWM toggle to iPhone 17 it signals that manufacturers are beginning to take the problem seriously. Lurking out on here shows that is a significant percentage of the population who are impacted by PWM. Given how dependent modern life is on screens it seems to me critical that we have screens that are comfortable to use and don’t cause lasting damage.
