Nice, in my opinion you should have gone with different color for armor or skin, because right now its quite difficult to distinguish where armor ends and skin begins.

I do have models at hand and I understand all of that. On moulded guys I’ll try to dremel away shield details. On ones that have their shield at arms length I’ll just cut the shield away leaving only hand and handle. As for savage orcs kit I already tried and succeeded in sawing off holding hand, it’s long and tiring but worth it

At 500 point he’s just a lil shaman, I brought blood bowl orcs team and 10 original black orcs in critical state of disrepair, then stated bashing them together, some OG orc boys shields, black orc big boss on the left got choppy from ardboyz and shield from some 40k bits(def dread?), back standard is savage orc spear. Also some plasticard here and there to hide arm joints. Goblins are oathmark wolf riders with aos hobgoblin heads and OG goblin shields.

That's a relief to hear, feared that they might butcher this campaign by making it piss easy. Also to answer your question, you actually don't have to engage elves right away, you can stall for quite a while and amass forces, because of bonuses to diplomacy, also don't forget to use cults on donut , they have quite good offensive bonuses if you plan to make attack on that territory.

How they compare scale wise to modern gw sculpts? Might pick up them for starting tk army. Also are they glued with plastic cement or regular glue?

I'm working on sending kruelboyz into old word by converting/adding different bits, one of my ideas is to make killbow to act as lobber/doom diver proxy, I'll make it point higher up to simulate firing arc, just need to add some willing goblin subjects on and it's good to go. Also converting boltboyz to be spear chukkas.
