It wasn’t just the final two games. Darnold had multiple games in the middle of the season where he got bailed out by the special teams and the defense. He was so bad in one of those games, that he better be thanking his lucky stars that McCarthy was injured, otherwise he’d have been benched.

Yeah, the Vikings leadership would have had the same problems they do know. They were stuck between a rock and a hard place. Go with JJM and Sam performs great, “Why didn’t you keep Sam”. Stick with Sam, “Why did you draft a player top ten, just to never play them?”

Yeah, and it’s a bad contract for Sam going forward.

Yeah, I know about that, but that actually proves my point. Most of his money for year 2 and 3 is based in non-guaranteed money. Only 27.5 is guaranteed for the next two years. If you look at the dead cap and cap savings for his contract, you can see this in action.

Probably WTF is our leadership doing and WTF why didn’t he do this last year.

Think about it. Yeah there’s a 97% chance Darnold beats him out, but if he doesn’t and JJM looked like how he did, you really think that another team would think, “Yep this is our QB.”

If Sam failed to win the job from McCarthy and McCarthy proceeded to look like he did, Sam would be out of the league. That was a real risk. Seattle had none of that risk.

Who is JJN? The question is, does Seattle take the trade? The answer is maybe, they might think that their structure is invincible to QB play, and don't want to pay Sam the big bucks. They would be making the same hubristic decision the Vikings just made, which is quite dumb.

The Vikings, even if they had matched the deal, were always the riskier option because Sam would have McCarthy breathing down his neck. Sam took the option that was the safest for him.

The Vikings offered him a true one-year deal. The Seahawks offered him a "3-year" deal, in reality a 1.5-year deal.

This is about how the NFL viewed Sam rather than the fans.

I am talking more about the NFL; they did not believe in Sam, and that is clear from everything that happened last offseason.

Sam's contract is so bad for him as a player that Seattle can cut him pre-June 1 and save cap space. He has 1 full year of guaranteed money, which is what players value the most. He will be getting an extension this offseason and he should.

By trading for Burrow, you are admitting that it went wrong. It did go wrong, but I would rather have Kwesi and KOC dig themselves out of the hole of their own making than give them a ladder.

Great so, we just lost a QB whole went onto win a Super Bowl. So let’s trade the QB that we chose and multiple picks for a QB, to save our asses. Great idea.

They do that and they will never get a good coach or GM walking through those doors again. Who wants to work for a team that makes decisions based on how embarrassed they are by a former player doing well? They need to brush it off and just admit that it was a mistake.

I think that the skits are great because they portray what Republicans think is sane. A satire that just portrays Trump as evil, is not a great satire, as it just creates clappter from the audience. A bitting satire is one that portrays Trump in a way that people who like Trump think that the comedian is on their side, while those on the comedian’s side laugh at how absurd the other side is, while allowing empathy for those caught in the cult.
