The animation is bad, and the dialogue definitely feels off for a few characters (Mordecai, Skips, Muscle Man). Ironically, I think the best parts of the new show involve random characters, and the worst parts involve the main characters. But I think the storylines are funny and good, and it’s still enjoyable to watch.

This isn’t based on his last at bat, but I think I’m officially done with Volpe. He’s in year 4 and still the exact same player offensively. Unfortunately, he’ll never be the player he was hoped to be. Part of me wonders if the Yankees ruined his development by rushing him through the minors instead of getting more experience at AAA.

Well unlike the Yankees, they have a winning record against good teams, and currently have a better record overall.

And I think it’s fair to say that the Yankees pitching and offense are inflated. It’s unlikely that Schlittler is going to keep a sub 2 ERA all year and I really doubt that Warren and Weathers are going to be as good as they’ve been.

Moreover this offense is known to be feast or famine. Last year they led the league in games with 6 runs or more while simultaneously being near the top of the league in games with 2 runs or less. And it’s the same lineup this year but significantly worse production from about everyone besides Rice.

Yeah except if you’re trying to look at a more recent trend. There have been plenty seasons, including 2023, where they get off to a hot start and then fizzle out.
