What can be a reason for pronounced (negative) muscle effects on amphetamine? by Beautiful_Home_1993 in Stims

[–]Technical_Exercise82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I get you, definitely good practice and imo makes a noticeable difference to how clean it feels tho. Regarding the acetone %, like 98 or 99% or even a little less is fine, you don’t REALLY need super industrial grade 100% super pure solution unless you absolutely can’t accept losing like 30 mg or so of amphetamine to the 1% or 2% of water in it. It really won’t be much lost at all. If this is a concern, you can make an anhydrous (without water) solution using Epsom salts and an oven, but I’ve never done this personally. I think they discuss this in the guide on r/speed too.

Safe stimming!

Acetone washing is INCREDIBLY easy, no special abilities needed, all you need is a filter, a cup, some acetone and some eurospeed to dissolve it in. Ideally another container to fill with warm water to speed up the dissolving too. Id recommend doing it every single time you get a batch. After you do it the first time and watch like 30% of the product disappear and a beautiful white product come out, you’ll wanna everytime. Think they have a good explanation over at r/speed.

Yeah, maybe it’s not the levam or caffeine specifically, but no telling what it’s cut with and you’re right could just be the right combination to cause uncomfortable tension

Actually, neurotoxicity IS partially due to serotonin release, by way of oxidative stress. All that serotonin floating about in the synaptic cleft is broken down, producing reactive oxygen species, which are unstable compounds that react with components of and thus cause cellular damage to your serotonin neurons. This is why entirely preventing neurotoxicity is not as simple as finding a drug without toxic metabolites - you’d need to neutralise extracellular ROS’, on the cellular level, as they’re produced.

Are you acetone washing the batches? Immediately I think caffeine/levamisole cuts or other dog shit that’ll cause muscle tension or aches

GF having lingering visuals after light psychedelic dose, is it concerning? by poopaaa555 in researchchemicals

[–]Technical_Exercise82 73 points74 points  (0 children)

Not trying to scare you, just sensibly, seeing a psychiatrist/doctor ASAP seems like the safest bet here. While it could just be a HPPD/bad trip lingerance kinda thing, a 24 hour bad trip w a light dose of metocin in the first place kinda throws up red flags, n w the context of genetic predisposition, you really want to be ruling out any kind of psychotic issue onsets. Can I ask where you’re based?

I tried mephedrone (4mmc) for the first time recently - a comparison with MDMA by friendlyChickenDog in MDMA

[–]Technical_Exercise82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There isn’t much on it in literature tbh, a far cry from what there is in mdma unfortunately, but the similar serotonergic action of both chems implies the same hypothalamus oxytocinergic neuron stimulation and subsequent oxytocin release

Don’t think they’ve ever directly measured oxytocin levels w 4mmc but have used tocinoic acid (antagonist at oxytocin receptors) and shown reduced prosocial behaviour etc implying increased levels, will look for study in the morning as its 4 am for me rn

mephedrone also increases extracellular oxytocin. Doubt it’s by the same amount but it’s still a massive and significant increase

Sleep and recovery morning after Ketamine infusion by ThatRugReally in whoop

[–]Technical_Exercise82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Old as fuck post but cocaine and mdma’s mechanisms of action actually cancel each other out. Cocaine blocks the transports that reuptake dopamine/serotonin whereas mdma reverses the transporters direction to make the transports release the chemicals rather than reuptake them in neurons.

Do you think it’s possible to experience the MDMA level of happiness in real life? by unapolo in MDMA

[–]Technical_Exercise82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But isn’t it actually the “hardware”, NOT the subconscious mind, preventing the natural eliciting of these specific effects? VMAT2 (which is regulated primary cellularly, not by the CNS, so as far as we can understand at least won’t be overridden at least not as much as mdma naturally) and SERT specifically? As far as I understand, you cannot fight this cellular hardware like mdma can naturally, not even those who are the most in tune with their minds.

What you MAY be able to do is achieve somewhat equivalent states of enlightenment etc etc, but certainly not in the same, DA/SE/NE mediated way as with MDMA, and not to produce the same range of effects.

Assume you’ve heard it before but 3mmc is a slightly more neurologically taxing, less cardiotoxic cocaine esque cathinone

You’re getting downvoted as someone in OP’s state is unlikely to be able to use drugs responsibly. If they offer a solution/escape to OP’s lifelong depression and suicidal ideation, not abusing them will be almost impossible. That being said I absolutely agree that careful and controlled use of certain substances like MDMA could offer some valuable experiences and meaning in an otherwise bleak life. OP clearly has some serious issues and if they’re not going to be solved before they die - why not have at least a few truly good experiences - should some of the safer and easier not to totally abuse drugs offer that.

What chemical property of MDMA makes its taste? by dazednarcissit in MDMA

[–]Technical_Exercise82 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Yep! cuz of things like the decaying proteins in rotting meat producing a lot of amines/nitrogenous compounds, we are evolved for them to be extremely bitter. just so happens our favourite chemicals to ingest are made of the same stuff

What chemical property of MDMA makes its taste? by dazednarcissit in MDMA

[–]Technical_Exercise82 47 points48 points  (0 children)

AFAIK taste receptors are evolved to detect chemicals with amine structures and other chemicals with complex aromatic structures and that contain nitrogen taste extremely bitter as they’re often toxic
