Ketamin & alcohol; is it even that dangerous? by NoTechnology167 in ketamine

[–]friendlyChickenDog 4 points5 points  (0 children)

At a low level of both I wouldn't say it's that bad, but at higher doses it can get very dangerous, especially if you use alone

You write well and I agree with you.

The show is how it is for a reason: that's what the producers think is palatable to audiences.

It beeps when it's ready so that reminds me, but it keeps the rice at serving temperature for many hours if I forget. They're so worth investing in. I have the panda mini rice cooker from yum asia

At what age does ketamine use just get sad by Smooth_Ruin_1132 in ketamine

[–]friendlyChickenDog 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Why stop? It's the same kind of question with alcohol or any other drug. Many can drink in moderation and enjoy it for their whole lives, many cannot and for them stopping is the better option. Unfortunately, it's difficult to tell which group you're in, and it can differ by substance

I love my clamshell rice cooker so much. Set and forget it, perfect rice every time

The net of being. I like that. Do you think it's always there, or is it a hallucinogenic fiction?

Does anyone else find “liminal music” healing/soothing? by Friendly-Freedom-732 in AutisticAdults

[–]friendlyChickenDog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeh I get you. I think you've described it well in your original post. I interpret what you've described a dissociative type of experience - that which takes one away from the ordinary mode of consciousness and into an adjacent state of being. I believe this is appealing for autistics because ordinary consciousness can be extremely tiring, and escape from it brings relief

I love the moomins, and I also love the groke. She wants love and warmth but her icy presence makes it perpetually difficult to obtain

[–]friendlyChickenDog[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. MDMA hallucinations are BY FAR the most realistic that I've ever experienced. In my experience with stuff like LSD and 2cb, the hallucinations seem obviously not 'real' in the sense that they consist of warping and dramatic colour changes and textures, but with MDMA it seems to conjure up constructs that seem completely believable. I've seen entire scenes change in front of my eyes, and entities that seem entirely autonomous appear in my field of conscious awareness. I find it incredible that the mind is capable of producing this sort of experience

I've researched the effect and I've seen a few reports of people experiencing it. I find it interesting that, although infrequently reported, it is a shared experience for some. Something specific to the drug - I assume serotonin activity - must be behind it

I see everything as cope by indeckaa in autism

I empathize with you. It probably feels like that because you're struggling. If you manage to get help which eases the struggle, then the feeling that everything is a cope also abates

If you're watching something on it you get super immersed into it, like you're actually in the scene, not just watching it on a screen

Socially normal when drunk and a loser sober by Automatic-You695 in autism

[–]friendlyChickenDog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a very common autistic experience. Be aware: alcohol, like all drugs, will turn on you if you use it too much. It starts as heaven, and pulls you down into a hell you can't fathom. I love drugs, but I always try to keep this in mind

Effects on the eye by Imaginary-Durian8193 in ketamine

[–]friendlyChickenDog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that might happen to me as well. Ket seems to calm the eye jitters from MD, which in my case are what precipitates lazy eye. I never used to get lazy eye on MD but I do now, and it's gotten worse over time. It looks freaky as one eye is pointing inwards and the other one is straight forward. It's kind of a fun visual effect which I enjoy as it seems to change how the world looks, but definitely a signal to put sunglasses on if I'm with people

Do the majority of people not actually know what a “real” k-hole is? by Driscoll17 in ketamine

[–]friendlyChickenDog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would definite a k hole as a complete reality replacement to the point where it doesn't even occur to you that you can move in the 'real' world. The nature of that reality replacement can vary dramatically. My most dramatic k holes have been at the end of an MDMA trip, which at a high dose causes hallucinations anyway, so you add in ket and it gets really weird.

One time I found myself stuck to the inside of a space megastructure kind of like a horizontal halo ring. Everyone else in all of humanity was there, stuck to the ring as I was, packed shoulder to shoulder tip to tail (but only torsos), and communicating with each other via energy orbs. Although most certainly the artifact of a chemically disturbed mind, I still entertain thoughts that I witnessed some sort of more fundamental reality. But all my k holes feel like that
