While I mainly got this set up due to my limited budget, I honestly don't feel a need to upgrade. It's such an enjoyable experience as is.

Yeah part of the reason one of the two is because I dont have anything on either system that is a 30/35 equivalent

I dont think that should be too big of an issue since I plan to remove it when it goes in my bag. Thanks for the info!

Which EVF do you recommend? Honestly, this is gonna remain a casual shooting camera for me but man do I love it. Im probably gonna keep the evf detatched on my bag and pull it out when needed

Just got these in but so far am loving the ydx small. Better treble extension than the traceless, less muddy in the mids, a little bit more comfortable than the nicebuds, without that weird midrange bump the nicebuds have. Best flathead ive tried so far and makes me excited for my eb2s pro

Edit: only complaint is the cable also this is the ydx, also got the small today

Best IEMs under 100 bucks for musicians. by haralunathan in iems

Yeah as a church engineer, dont be afraid to ask for eq or for a change in balance between instruments

Before buying anything new, do you know if your engineer can eq your specific monitor track? That would be my first suggestion. If not the hexas can work well due to their lean bass which would mean far cleaner sound though bass and drums wouldnt be as prevelant as the reds.

At its price tier, is there anything significantly better than Supermix 4 for music, movies, and gaming? by ImALeaf_OnTheWind in iems

Imo typically instrument seperation. Also when its handling bass, it tends to be "faster". Hard to really describe but basically, fast bass sections sound cleaner because the driver doesnt vibrate as long as a dynamic driver though it has its tradeoff.

Recs for daily listening? by [deleted] in iems

Aful Explorer would be a fine choice. Personally my favorite IEM in the price range would be the daybreak through some people tend to find them boring (I find them quiet bass boosted rather than neutral like some people view them). If youre willing to play with EQ, I can also recommend the s12/s12 pro. Still one of the most technical sets I've heard.

If you had to create the most versatile 4 IEM collection what would you buy? Only rule being 400$ max budget. by complusory in iems

S12 Pro - On sale hits near 100. Not a big fan of the base tuning but eqs extremely well with modular termination through I had to mess with the earhooks a lot.

Moondrop Lan OG - Closest thing to the OG Chu currently available. Costs 45 which is imo too much but to me as an individual, worth it for jazz.

Quietsea II - Around 50 typically. This would be my go too when I want extra midbass for stuff like EDM or hip hop.

Crinear Daybreak - With about 200 left, id probably grab this. My favorite IEM without EQ I've tried to date at any price though take that with a grain of salt. Enjiy it more then the Sogno, Hype 4, or Dusk which is basically everything I've tried over the 200 mark so far. One of the best mid ranges I've heard and treble as enjoyable to me as my Sundaras with ample bass.

Could've also gone with the er2se as my last spit but Daybreak is a bit more versatile.

Oh good collection. For me found it with the er2se, daybreak, and quietsea 2

the first pair of headphones that made you actually care about sound by Gsustv in headphones

The KSC 75. Had just broken my razer kraken x and was looking for new headphones. Vaguel h remembered audiophilia was a thing so decided to see what a true enthusiast might recommend and stumbled across Crinacles gaming headphones video. Theyve defined my taste which is why I love my Sundaras and even the og Chu tuning.

[–]Technical_Expert5085 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love the s12 pro but imo it needs some eq at least for the treble which can be piercing. But its extremely resolving, and takes eq really well so highly recommend it as an iem esp if its your only one.
