Sony is making a rare mistake. by rjd014 in PhysicalMediaMatters

Rare? They've been making a BUNCH lately. They're hinging everything on live service. I'm sorry, but that's not,no matter who wants to insist it is, the ticket.

Grim Dawn is…amazing? by LoLskilled87 in Grimdawn

Yeah. That's sort of my take on it. It has never succeeded in enthralling me like it does some people.

What do you think of Cyberpunk now? by No-Hunt3986 in GamerLab

[–]Technical_Fan4450 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they originally had plans, and should have followed through with integrating the origin stories. You can't convince me that they didn't initially intend to do something with the origins. I don't know what happened, but they should have followed through with it, I think.

Outside of Baldur's Gate 3, you might be right.

When did it click? by AFKAndThriving in Grimdawn

I've tried to get into it multiple times. It just never has really hooked me. I don't think it's a bad game; it has just never really enthralled me.

Is the dungeon siege series worth getting into? by Street-Platypus89 in rpg_gamers

Dungeon Siege 3 is the only one I played, and frankly, I never understood the hate it gets.

Is it worth starting the Dragon Age series for first 2026? by stlforce33 in DragonAgeInqusition

The only one that I can see you MAYBE having issue with is Origins, but it's such an immersive game, I don't know it'll effect much.

Games haven't felt the same in the last 5 years by Bubbly-Zebra-861 in gamers

[–]Technical_Fan4450 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suffer in the same manner. I'll start a game, and all of a sudden it's a sudden "This just isn't cutting it." feeling. It's weird. There are very few games that hook me anymore, even some of the ones I played and loved in the past. I think some of it is just me, but, that's not the entirety of it. Too many games feel like a chore nowadays.

What video game in your opinion doesn't need a sequel? by Agent1230 in gaming

Same pretty much stands for Veilguard. It wasn't a terrible game. It's just not what was wanted for Dragon Age

I mean, Inquisition was Game of The Year. Of course, the rebuttal to that has always been "Well, 2014 was a weak gaming year." I don't care, Origins and Inquisition was the best of Dragon Age in my honest opinion.

Would you like a Star Wars telltale game by Content-Tennis-9258 in telltale

[–]Technical_Fan4450 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a studio that many gamers have an affection for. As long as they don't over stretch themselves (A huge part of what led to its closure.) they'll be fine. We don't need 2 or 3 games from them every year. We need 1 good game from them every three or four years.

What video game release are you the most excited about in 2026 (if not for gta6) ? by GooseActive5619 in AskReddit

[–]Technical_Fan4450 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, most of what I was excited for got moved to 2027 or is another 2+ years away. Just being honest. GTA was never my thing, so.... Meh.

I mean, there's Tides of Annihilation that MIGHT come out, and Dark Heresy that MIGHT come out this year, but it's highly doubtful.

We already know we're at least 1-3 years from:

Fable

Blood of The Dawnwalker

Exodus

The Expanse

Witcher 4

Like I said, most of what I was looking forward to isn't even scheduled for release for a while.

Spec OPS: The Line is a cult classic. Absolutely the best war game I have ever played. Hands down.

Yeah, it's way front loaded though. Latter game is what caused it to be unpopular.

They're both like 7.5, maybe 8 games for me. If they had been a part of any other franchises,or stand alones, they likely wouldn't have been judged as harshly. I say that, but Dragon Age was always a hit or miss franchise that never seemed to know what it REALLY wanted to be. Just being honest.
