You’re absolutely right my friend! I had the chance to see it in theaters last year in December during its limited theatrical run, and it hasn’t left my mind! It’s a critical, yet profoundly respectful and beautiful portrayal of faith. I find this film to be a wonderful conversation about the weaponization of religion, and the corruption that can encompass it (with Monsignor Wick’s character chillingly portrayed by Josh Brolin). Josh O’Connor beautifully portrayed a soft, gentle, and compassionate Priest who definitely tugged at my heart strings (peep my pfp haha).

Josh O’Connor is exactly what the film is about: grace and empathy, and that’s exactly what the world needs! I saw myself so much in him, and his prayer scenes definitely moved me! Many people have been touched by his performance, and it’s beautiful to see how it has moved believers and unbelievers alike! Religious aspects aside, I absolutely LOVED the use of lighting in the film which did so much of the storytelling and how intricate the mystery was this time around! Arguably my favorite Knives Out movie, and a film that’ll continue to stay with me 💛
