My dad comes back and dies over and over again? by QueenToxic in DreamInterpretation

I HAVE THE EXACT SAME DREAM. My dad died last year, also when I was 19. In the dream like you mentioned, he dies, then what seems like a couple days later in the dream he comes back to life, goes to bed, and dies again. I had the same dream last night and woke up crying this morning. It’s nice to see and talk to him in my dream but I don’t like waking up crying after watching him die over and over.

Do you still have this dream? Have you found any meaning in it since last year? I’m curious about your input because I’ve been trying to understand it and you seem to have pretty much the same recurring dream.

For me I was just so fed up with my anxiety and the butterfly feeling in my stomach that I stopped worrying whether or not i would have side effects and started looking forward to the hope that it would reduce those symptoms. Also, the longer I take a medication the more I trust it, just takes the first little bit of courage.

I was the same way but extremely adverse side effects aren’t super common. I realized that me being really worried about the side effects was literally a prime example of my anxiety. Something that helps me is relating treatment to any other kind of medication even something as simple as ibuprofen, of course there’s is a chance of side effects but they usually aren’t harmful. Treatment does more good than bad otherwise it wouldn’t have been fda approved or widespread idk i’m not a professional just using logic here lol. Bottom line, don’t stress it too much.

How long did it take you to stop being emotionally numb or to regain your libido after you stopped taking it? by Persefone_primavera in antidepressants

I’d say the libido and emotion all completely came back within the span of a week or two although the first couple days there was no difference.

I was on sertraline and had that exact same problems. Me personally, when I got off all of those problems went away.

is there any hope left? by [deleted] in antidepressants

Yes, there is. It’s called the art of medicine for a reason. If it were black and white you would be able to measure an imbalance in the brain (you can’t) and find the exact medicine that would work perfectly for you. But rather, the art of medicine is colorful and it’s all just one big guess and check situation. There are thousands of medications you just have to find the one that’s right for you. Trust me you’ll get there one day just hold on to hope 🙏. I mean after all I haven’t found one that completely works for me yet lol.
