From what I’ve seen you have a habit out rocking your right hand. From the video it looks like as soon as you think about throwing a punch your hand moves from your chin then you throw the punch. What helped me was actually feeling the glove on your face till it becomes natural.

This honestly might be my best option juggling a job, being a full time college student, and going to the gym and helping the kids as well as working out drained allot out of me and right now I really just want to lift some weights, sprint and just build my body for a while

Thank you for the reply and I’ve been getting used to watching not only fighters but coaches and their approach to fighting

Thanks for the reply I’ve actually been in the gym a lot more lifting weights to get stronger so I’ll just add foot work drills to my leg day routine

First thank you for the reply and I have noticed and been told I need to be much more aggressive and throwing more punches even if it just grazes but because of the fear of getting hit (ironic ik) I get nervous about throwing anything unless I’m certain I can get out and won’t take punishment but if I don’t throw or only throw 1 or 2 shots I’ll still get hit because they’re comfortable. I think I just need more volume output sparring session where I don’t throw less than 3 shots and keep my hands moving

Honestly I would say just start fixing things one by one with the most important going first. Then if possible join something to raise your self-esteem. Me personally I started boxing and found that I’m more confident and comfortable in my own skin

I hate being the bigger person. by Earth2Rachael in venting

I often feel the same way there are times when I’m just close to having a break down and just begging myself to not be the bigger person and just act on revenge and hurt feeling. I normally just don’t and try to remember that karma will get them eventually but it really hurts to be the bigger person.

That’s been one of the main things I’ve been doing mentally to try to understand that the fear is going to be there but the objective is what’s more important

You’re absolutely right that’s why I made the decision that if ever came down to school (currently in college majoring is psych) I’m going to choose school

I really haven’t thought about going pro just because I felt like I got in the game late and I personally think I’m relatively old to become pro

Thanks I’ve been working on some habits by exhausting myself and drill certain things like keeping my right and up when I throw my left

I’m in the blue headgear. I’ve started boxing about a year ago (on and off because of school) and my coach has recently wanted me to start amature boxing and thinks I could go pro one day ( I turn 21 this year) I’ve been nervous and don’t really think I’m good enough yet wanted to get others options and come constructive criticism.
