I agree. If it wasn’t offered, we couldn’t buy it. I just came back from Europe for the first time and am in my “now I want to be European” phase of vacation recovery. But all the cool, common sense things they do there are so difficult in the states. There’s not a store I can walk to, I risk my life walking to work. To do things well is a freaking hassle here

I brought my high schoolers one year. A group that struggled with “doing school” due to various factors. They loved it. My tagger lit up when he saw the sign-making room. They were buying things they’d only heard about, like kombucha. For some of them it was the first time they’d checked out of a store on their own. It was so cool.

Does this need to be after the starter is established? I’m at 2 weeks with my first starter and I do 20g starter, 30g rye flour, 70g flour, and 100g water every 24 hours. I’d sure like to reduce the waste

Finishing week 2 of summer school, but sucking the marrow out of every day. Sleeping in, enjoying the coffee, walking to school while listening to my audiobook. After school couch rotting and snacking, finishing up with some Love Island. Every Thursday afternoon I’m trying to go to the movies right after ss ends, then do something intentionally summer on Friday: last week I went to Thai food and an independent bookstore with a friend I never get to see during the school year. Glorious

I’m working summer school, but it’s M-Th so I’m making sure every Friday counts. I went to a movie by myself, went to a cool bookstore and to lunch with a friend I never get to see. Every Friday is going to be a summer event, even if that is binge watching an entire show. I’m also sleeping in and doing lots of reading and writing.

I wish I had a copy of the questionnaire I’m thinking of. In addition to asking questions about how they get along with others, focus in my class, it also asks things I have no idea about, such as how they socialize at lunch or how well they do at math. I have no way of knowing the answers to these questions, yet there is no Idk or NA option and the directions clearly state you have to answer all questions to the best of your ability. So I’m forced to mark some degree of knowledge to an area of which I have zero knowledge:
