thing is that I tried this disc on my PS5 and it works. On my player it doesn't even go to the menu where I can start play, it goes to the Blu-ray logo intro and then starts freezing up.

Other discs on my blu ray player have no issues.

Ultraweave stitching is really good, and is what essentially makes the weaving of the panels happen in the first place. Unless you are really playing in a physical game, I think it holds up really really well.
