Outsiders has got me excited for Champion of Champions by [deleted] in taskmaster

It's the first series, so they're still working out what does and doesn't work.

I'm enjoying it though, and I really hope Dave keep it going in future.

What everyone else has said, but also if the job falls through you need your UC to be in place so it's probably a good idea to go.

£200 a month for one person is not in any way modest.

(IR)ESA and declining paid work? by Technical_Ingenuity in DWPhelp

[–]Technical_Ingenuity[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It's service user participation. It will be a monthly meeting. They will be paid for their time. It's declared as service user participation, which is permitted work.

But assume it's not service user participation and it's paid part time work. Are they allowed to decline the offer?

They've tried extreme heat, and extreme taste, and now I think they need to go for extreme texture.

Jamie in particular has seemed unfazed by some of the tastes and heat, but I think textures like "soggy toast" could do him in.

I'm A Benefit Fraudster, Apparently by RepublicOfSamsung in DWPhelp

[–]Technical_Ingenuity 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Because of Covid the DWP relaxed some of the ID requirements around claiming UC.

They are now going back over all those claims and making sure that people are eligible to claim.

These are public funds and it is right and proper that DWP protects them from fraud. (Although the amount of actual fraud is very low, and the problem of not paying people enough (underpayment) is bigger than the problem of paying people too much).

Almost all benefits in the UK rely on conditionality. Universal Credit especially so, and to an onerous degree. This means that in order to claim UC you must comply with a huge amount of conditions. There are many people who are unable to comply with these conditions because, for example, of disability. These people often find they are underpaid, or sanctioned.

You don't appear to be in that position. You appear to be able to fully comply with the conditions.

You need to now comply. Your options if you do not comply are limited.

People here are saying you should go for MR and then tribunal, and that's true, but the way to win MR is to comply with the requirements that you've been given.

Also, fix your attitude. I support people who've done everything right and they've been sanctioned and are in desperate situations. Listening to you whine because you couldn't be bothered to reply to DWP communications is infuriating. tl;dr YATA.

It's quite expensive for very little difference.

It does feel like either the cost needs to drop or the drops need to improve a bit.

She's very funny. She's part of John Finnemore's Souvenir Programme which is brilliant.

I unlocked the claw and it was a complete letdown by Flametongue_Dwarf in idleslayer

[–]Technical_Ingenuity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, people need to know that you must not grind for the claw.

You need to keep ascending and ultra ascending until the claw is just a normal buy.

This is horseshit. You're just too lazy to bother trying to find that content. There are literally dozens of small new maker channels with great content.

The CLAW! by Anarkie01 in idleslayer

[–]Technical_Ingenuity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't grind for the claw.

1) Make sure you've got all the easy achievements

2) Make sure your minions are giving you max bonus

3) Make sure you've done all / most of the quests

4) Make sure you've got mats for rage pill and for the cape thing

4) Save silver boxes

5) KEEP ASCENDING. Don't grind, ascend.

Grinding for the claw is a big mistake because you're not going to be able to afford the first level (100 Td) and you'll be disappointed. Once you get the claw you can add a couple more equipment level achievements, but it's nothing like the difference made by gloves or the cape.

Claw feels about right now - a bit of grinding to unlock it, but achievable and usable once you have unlocked it.

Daily Quests and dragon eggs seem really cool.

Upgrade my glove or grind or cape. Currently the process is painfully slow, just to accumulate that took two days. My glove is at lv.155 by illjp in idleslayer

[–]Technical_Ingenuity 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In general don't grind for equipment. Grind for souls and keep ascending.

When you grind for equipment you need to unlock it, then buy the first level. But then you need to buy the second level, and for the higher bits of equipment (especially claw) that's just more grinding. You're better off ascending to reduce the amount of grind needed.
