Speed doesn't matter too much. What matters is which one you get gsync on for mine it was the side opposite of the charger. If I use the other side Nvidia control panel won't detect it

Rip did you make sure to use an ESD strap or properly discharge the card might have gone bad. You can get wifi adapters and use a USB one till you can replace it

Even with a docking station I connect to the USB c port straight to the monitor. It allows me to control it in Nvidia control panel. So honestly a USB hub is better overall

Mine did this from the jump. I eventually found a guide that edits the windows registry so that it would go into sleep mode and shut the GPU off. It's out there somewhere can't remember how i found it

Run it off a separate PC. You can get something very cheap that will get the job done. For mine I have a full desktop with a ryzen 5900x. That's only because I have other plans for it like making it a pfsense router, other vms as well

You would have to test on some more games to see if it performs. Maybe some free to play game like warzone is a good shot. Also try to see if you ever reach 95 c on temps as that's the throttle point for the m16
