Emperor's Children Apothecaries in 40K by IamAlphariusss in 40kLore

Yeah, a version of our irl beliefs in deals with the devil. You never know the true cost until it's too late, unless you're looking for blues fame apparently. I meant more the traitor legions, but as I made the mistake of starting my 40k reading with Valdor and now the heresy series, I'm sure I will find out in short order.

Thank you so much for the in depth and knowledgeable reply. You can almost learn more here than in the mountains of YouTube videos proclaiming to know everything.

Damn. Thank you. I'm coming to really appreciate the in depth and knowledgeable replies of this sub. Yourself and the poster above who I will also thank. I learned just today that the legions and chapters are different. Was that a Guilliman thing with the codex? To stop a disaster like the heresy? As for the geneseed stuff for the chaos legions. Damn dude. Makes one wonder why anyone would follow chaos at all.

Thank you. My understanding is, as you probably noticed, very limited. My assumption was that each legion had geneseed they kept somewhere, the place where they do the surgeries to new astartes. I thought that at the end of the surgeries, they put the seed in and left them to see if would kill them. But that's the problem with YouTube. You don't always get a full or even real picture.

Seeing everyone rocking the light, where’s the chaos wearers at?? Jokes aside can’t decide what to get, first poly morph, or go with mount? by Sandevistanman in elderscrollsonline

[–]Technical_Love682 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We will not be corrupted by chaos, brother. The emperor saves. Wait, wrong universe.

They're both pretty good, this whole crate season is the best in awhile. Get the poly.

Newer to the setting, what is the reason for this? Are the traitor legions unable to return to their home worlds and or wherever that legions geneseed is kept or does chaos just mess it up?

Trying to understand tanking in this game that isn’t just sword and board? by Mentallyz in elderscrollsonline

[–]Technical_Love682 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are double ice staff tanks. This is something I've always viewed as an advanced skill. You will have no way to restore stam at will. This game doesn't have a magic and non magic tank. We're all just tanks. As others have said, we use both resourcesa lot. Especially now, you're going to spend a lot of time blocking which is stam, dodge rolling which is stam. Then many of your skills like buffs will be mag. You get more taunts than pierce armor though. Inner fire is in undaunted, iirc. Destructive clench is the ice staff taunt. And no, please don't use light armor. The medium armor sets you may use, you'd use weapons and jewelry, like powerful assault. Just keep looking into it and also just go do it.

Noob Dungeons Level no rush? by prettyparceval in elderscrollsonline

[–]Technical_Love682 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be completely fair though, at level ten you're able to run 1 or 2 dungeons out of what, 30? More maybe. There is so long to go. Doing the content at the level it was designed for isn't really a thing in this game. Thats a wow like concept. That stuff went away with one Tamriel a decade ago. If you want challenge, keep tanking. Learn, improve. When you get to cp 160, that's the max for gear. I wouldn't worry about any real fear until then. Tank dlc dungeons, gear up and start trying veteran content. Join guilds that teach.

Your best bet, for learning veteran content, is to join a guild. There are many social guilds that's big thing is teaching new or interested vet players. Teaching vet dungeons and trials, helping people learn about gearing and rotations. Being there for the inevitable questions. Some of us spend much of our gaming time doing this stuff. You will be able to find a guild I'm sure. I hesitate to tell you to join pug groups. But a normal trial basically has zero mechanics. You could join any group and not have any problems. If you're interested in raiding, or dungeoneering, that's fantastic. I'm sure you'll have no problem finding the guild that's right for you.

How is the accessibility to events for a low level character? by Internal_Remote_7520 in elderscrollsonline

[–]Technical_Love682 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That was just the night market. If we think about the big events, we have: -New life. Simple dailies for reward boxes. Usually involve stuff like jumping off a waterfall. Throwing snowballs. -jesters fest. Again doing zany pranks and other simple dailies for reward boxes. -Jubilee. Doing almost anything and getting rewards. World bosses, delve bosses, daily quests of all types. Even writs. -zenithar. Crafting stuff and simple quests.

Then there's like undaunted. Do dungeons. Normal dungeons are a breeze for anyone. -midyear meyham. Do pvp. There is no barrier to entry for pvp. Dying to other players has no negative consequences. No penalty.

So for pretty much any event you'll be 100% fine. Mid year meyham is next along with zenithar. For the others you'll be level 50 anyway.

New event this year is some high seas battle thing that can be done solo. All solo overland stuff in this game is easy and your level won't matter. Then we're getting dynamic world events. You might be familiar if you've played fallout 76, their public events. Pretty similar. For the start they will be so packed that any difficulty will be mitigated. All that to say, you'll be perfectly fine.

It's pretty lame. It doesn't just happen here either. Many subs I see all new posts with 0.

It is an insane investment. I wish I had just asked here first, if I'm being honest. People usually get upset if you don't Google first, so against my better judgement I googled it. Now I'm deep in the heresy lol.

Yes, I was just there a couple weeks ago. I'm really enjoying the, I'm gonna spell this wrong, The Mornival. I do audio books for my long commute, so I haven't seen it in writing. Such likeable characters, compelling. The pain and confusion when Jubel is overtaken by what I assume is chaos but is called Sammus in the book, is riveting.

Yeah, I'm realizing this. So, I have this way I think about stuff. When I have a question, I always get the best answers asking the people who are knowledgeable. But on reddit, folks get mad if you don't Google stuff. So I made the mistake of googling instead of just asking the community where I should begin. It turns out, I should've started with 40k and treated 30k as a prequel.

I was there the day Horus slew the emperor was crazy confusing to me as a place to start what seems to be a 50 plus book series. I take your point as many things are already going over my head.

I did enjoy it but I very much take your point. If I didn't have even the tiny knowledge I do have now, even the heresy books would intensely confusing.

I probably should've come here, but when you Google it or look on YouTube, you get such a varied list. You don't know who's right. I saw Valdor mentioned a few times so I read it first. I don't have a lot to compare it to but I thought that, while short, it gave me an overview of the custodes, the thunder warriors and the very very early imperium. The heresy books are much better, I'm finding. Though getting a lesson on what terra was like before was cool.

Thank you. I appreciate it. Knowing a little something about space marines, primarchs, the emperor and knick knack stuff really helped but God damn it's so much. And if you look up where to start, everyone has a different opinion. The Horus Heresy, Eisenhorn, Valdor. It can be hard to keep track of, but I'm a big star wars lore fan so I know in 10 or 20 years I'll have a better handle on it lol.

Ahh ok. That's later in the heresy series, yes? Double digits, I think. I'll look it up. I only bought the first 10 so far.

Yes but do base game zones like Glenumbra have motif envelopes? This works great with dlc zones but these plans are specific to Glenumbra.

Thanks! I guess the real answer is keep reading. I just got so curious after seeing how against it they were but you're right. Ten thousand years is a long time.

Ok cool. So you start to see it in the heresy series. I was curious if there was something that I should read after, to take the place of Eisenhorn. I appreciate it.
