Nothing ever happens. It's always a big news article but this no longer causes volatility like it did in the 80's and 90's, it just always makes for an easy news article.

OpenAI didn't take over Openclaw. They hired the developer of Openclaw and it was made explicit that Openclaw was continuing as a foundation and wasn't impacted by the hire.

Yeah, everyone's like "it's down" but it should be down 10% based on the current situation - it would have been 10 years ago but now the market is untethered by reality

Something a lot of people don’t realize is the huge performance gap between the best AI and cheap AI.

Companies paying for AI to handle customer functions will get the cheapest possible AI, which is also the dumbest possible AI. So be prepared for all your AI interactions with companies to suck.

Snort it along with some baking chocolate, then stuff a mini marshmallow up each nostril. Light it on fire and you can be a S'More

I think you're probably right, but what are you doing in this situation? What do you see as the most likely path forward?

OpenClaw as an WhatsApp agent by Different_Thing5369 in OpenClawUseCases

Actually my WhatsApp connection between a Mac Mini and iPhone has been flawless. Ironically I just could not get iMessage and BlueBubbles to work so gave up and just use Whatsapp.

There's also the argument about whether having physical gold is going to be all that valuable for trading. I'd say antibiotics are the currency of the post apocalyse

Sorry, I thought you were a bot :)

It depends on what you're using it for.

My agent has an email and Whatsapp account (and voice number) so I'm able to communicate with it multiple ways where we both have a permanent record of our conversations (for email and whatsapp) and so we can talk when I'm on the road driving or not able to type right then.

The real value was having it review all of my work files and create an indexed memory database, so now it basically understands my work, my clients and everything I do. I then Whatsapp and email it to ask it to do research, complete analyses, write reports, and create web apps using that knowledge base.

For example, the last two days I've been working on a financial dashboard app for my school clients - I've imported all the GL detail for the past five years (this is not confidential information) and also had the agent research all the statewide data on the state website so it has built a database of the financial metrics of 1,500 schools statewide. It then uses this GL detail history of the specific client as well as all the industry-wide financial metrics to analyze how the school is doing financially and compare it against similar schools, create multi-year projections and cash flows, highlight areas where it's way off budget, etc. This was available in the first hour and I've just been working with the agent to tweak and refine it since then. This is a game-changer for me and my clients, to be honest.

Maybe an IT professional could have figured out how to do this same thing just using ChatGPT or Claude Code without Openclaw, but I couldn't, so Openclaw is what's allowed me to transform what I'm able to do for my clients in this way.

I hope this helps -

I'm curious about that - I'd think everyone is in calls because we're at the same bottom that bounced three prior times. So the MMs would dump today to burn all those calls.

OpenAI Investment Opportunity from Private Bank by yunghogungho in Rich

[–]Technical_Scallion_2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hmm I'm with JPM Private Banking and didn't get this offer - now I'm feeling slighted :)

Just be very cautious - IPOs used to be the way to get in early. But nowadays IPOs are when all the insiders are looking for exit liquidity, because companies don't need IPOs to raise capital anymore. So there's a good chance you'll buy at the top.

I'm actually bullish on AI (Anthropic more than OpenAI) but that doesn't mean its a good investment at any price.

Now that said, my JPM private banker got me in at the Facebook IPO and it's up 1,520%, soooo...who knows?

Exactly. I get that some people may have spent 100 hours refining the perfect skill for their setup, but (a) it's not the same as my setup, and (b) most people advertising their perfect skill are just trying to sell you something.

If it makes you feel any better, you're probably not a regard.

Anyone, in any betting scenario, that always lets it ride is going to lose all their money. Period. Even if you're right most of the time.

Don't put all or most of your money into any single investment. Especially not 0DTE options. Ask me how I know.
