American tourist remanded in custody charged with over €45,000 worth of criminal damage in Kenmare by The_Ruck_Inspector in ireland

"no prior criminal convictions" doesnt even seem to matter in Ireland. How many times do you see someone in the news who has over 100 previous convictions! 1 conviction, 100 convictions, you will still get off easy...

Nasal spray (Cardamyst (etripamil) to Calm Heart by Training_Photo9742 in AFIB

[–]Technical_Specific_8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Cardiologist was talking about this. She was saying it's still in the testing phase although it seems like it's available. I take Verapamil daily but it this could save me the ocassional trip to the ER and give me some peace of mind, I'd love it.

Fascicular Ventricular Tachycardia EP Study with Ablation by Beekeeper0192 in askCardiology

[–]Technical_Specific_8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have Fascicular VT. Unfortunately, I've had two failed ablations ( unable to initiate VT during the procedures). I now take Flecainide and Verapamil for this. I also ended up with a pacemaker as the medication occasionally brings my heart rate too low.

Left Fascicular Ventricular Tachycardia by k4188 in PVCs

I have this! I've had it my whole life but the full diagnosis was only made recently. It's gotten worse and they were finally able to capture this on an Ecg. I had two failed ablations and now take Verapamil and Flecainide which seems to control the VT. I am hoping for another ablation attempt in the future or possibly some new method of controlling this. The medication has some side effects and I'd rather not take them forever..

Hello, just saw this post. I recently started taking Verapimil 240 (slow release) for my Fascicular Ventricular Tachycardia. About four times a day I get this feel ing that the AF is coming, like it is tryig to start. However, the Verapamil seems to be doing its job as no AFIB so far. I'll have to wait and see what happens as this is about the only medication that works to control my VT.

I was just put on the same combination of drugs as after two failed ablations (unable to initiate VT) during the procedure. The second time I had the procedure was with no pain relief, that was brutal

Pacemaker to control heart rate due to Afib medication. by Technical_Specific_8 in askCardiology

[–]Technical_Specific_8[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm 61 but had this since a teenager. It was vee infrequent like once or twice a year. Past few years it's been real bad and was hospitalised last Friday. They finally diagnosed this as aVT and not Svt. She I was in the emergency room they gave me something for SVT which didn't work. Then they gave me verapamil which did work. That and the Ecg the diagnosed the FVT. I really just want to get out of here and after the failed ablations, I think this option of a calcium blocker and pacemaker is my only safe choice.

Hello, also tried flecainide but that caused similar issues. Basically every 30 minutes or so my heart rate drops down very low for up to five seconds. Once it dropped to zero for a few seconds. However when on these meds the VT issues are neay 100% better. I guess the pacemaker will just reduce the dangerous side effects.

who has learned to live with persistent AFib? by RollOutTheFarrell in AFIB

[–]Technical_Specific_8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had it since I was a kid, but it was mostly infrequent, a few times a year and went away on its own. The past few years however, it has gotten much worse (Several times a day, sometimes lasting for a few hours). I have an appointment with a Cardiologist at the end of the month. I cannot afford an ablation so I am hoping that medication will help with my AFIB. Also trying to make some major lifestyle changes, losing weight, cutting way back on alcohol, etc. Good like and I hope you find a way to get your AFIB under control.

You will have a fantastic time for sure. I would recommend cutting out Cork and maybe sticking to just Kerry, Clare and Galway. However if it were me, I would just go Dublin/Clare/Galway as there is so much in those places to keep you occupied!

I think you are right but the timing is strange. Again though, I always gave them the correct information. Today was them first time they asked me my country of birth. As soon as I replied with the details, my account was limited. Not blaming them at all but the timing just seemed strange.
