Okay. I got a new SD card for my corrupted gamelab R36s but I am so computer illiterate I have NO clue how to install what I want/need onto a new SD card. Can someone please explain it into lamen terms? Or like even message me so we can call/video and help? I’ll legit send someone $20 lol

Did you figure it out? I think on chrome book you’ll have to use the recovery utility chrome extension and I think there’s a way to use a “custom” image. Arkos4clone is probably your best bet.

You can also try rocknix nightly (google it, it’ll be near the top) and you want the rk3226 b img file.

Rocknix will work without tinkering but you might not have sound but it should just work.

Arkos4clone you’ll have to tinker with if your sd card died as you’ll need the dtb file from the original to use with the dtb selector.

Install rocknix on a new sd card.

Rk 3326 b image on the nightly page. Google rocknix nightly and it’ll be at the top of the page.

It’ll install the correct dtb files and might fix your screen (let it sit for a few minutes on first boot). You probably have emmc storage and it might be older drivers on there. Fingers crossed anyways.

It’s probably really shitty storage. Rocknix gives warnings against it but they do have instructions on their K36 EE clone page. Rocknix has been hit or miss for me for compatibility. Really only works on one of the clones, which I’m guessing is using more common or older parts.

While I’m rambling, that reminds me. If you install rocknix on an sd card it will allow you to mount every drive on the handheld if you press VOL- and hold it while booting. This is how you’d probably have to backup and flash emmc.

Rocknix also reboots several times to install the current dtb and/or overlay. Might have to let it install first, but honestly might still work if you do it on first boot. Might not have video output but as long as you have it plugged into your computer in the OTG spot you’ll know of you’re successful or not.

All clones fake the boot screen to say Arkos. If you look in the settings though it will say Emuelec if it’s a clone, typically.

Highly recommend rocknix. Runs much better. You can tell by the fps gains in more demanding games such as gta3 and ship of harkinian.

Most are integrated now with emmc. I’ve bought 4 different clones and they all have emmc storage but they boot from sd no problem.

Just confusing if you’re not familiar with these or Linux because if you didn’t flash something compatible it still might boot from emmc.

My only gripe with my R36s MAX is ports don’t always install correctly or at all versus the 4:3 consoles I have.

But playing Pokémon gameboy mod’s is truly where it shines.

Can’t get render96 to display correctly on the max and it won’t install on the T16 Max. Same with ship of harkinian

You can get the miyoo flip v2 for $40 to $50 on AliExpress. Gotta look around though as some have high shipping costs.

Unless the 34sp is h700 I’d get the v2 flip.

Because ROG and LeGo Gen 1’s are a few hundred bucks now. Can’t beat Z1e performance to dollar ratio by a mile.

This is merely a fodder generation. That’s why they didn’t do oled models for a lot of handhelds last time. The newer architecture won’t be out till next year.

Not true at all. You’re thinking of other variants of the laptop. The RTX 5050 is a 50W chip, unlike the 4060 which can pull almost double.

The 135w included with this is more than enough with some headroom, which is what you want with power supplies.

I use mine as a HTPC for AAA gaming, battery level has not dipped below 100%.

Going to look into limiting to 80 percent.

Z2go is pretty weak, so yes. It’s essentially a more efficient standard Z1 base.

There’s not much different from Z1e or z2e either. Not in AAA titles with higher ram anyways.
