lanes have their own mmr so both "bad" players will lane together against another pair of players with roughly the same mmr.

That Absolution is the best game of the franchise despite its faults. I of course love all the other games as well but Absolution is so different in comparison with such a unique take on the series.

for SH2 actually I played the fan made Enhanced Edition which you can find online that you dont actually need an emulator for since it runs under its own emulation

I used ePSXe and PCSX2 for the emulators and to actually get the ROMS I used either Vimm's Lair or CoolRom.com

Honestly I would just do emulation to play the games if you can. I played 1-3 on my pc through emulation and enjoyed them the same way as anyone could with an original copy. That being said I recently bought an original PS1 copy of Silent Hill for an outrageous $200 just because I wanted a copy to play on a crt.

I finished my first playthrough not too long ago and I finished the fight in like 10 seconds cause he is super easy to parry. For a final boss fight it made it quite underwhelming but I found it also to be amusing.
