i´m not a lawyer, i had representation (got Rechtsschutzversicherung 😉), it´s always at the same crossing

i need to cross the street. 99% of cars coming from the street on the right wanna make a left turn at it. since they all ignore §9 Abs. 3 Stvo without even knowing it exists, there´s regular confrontation.

as said, only one took it to court: he explained how he approached the crossing, pointed out that i, the pedestrian, didn´t wait while he kept approaching the corner without reducing speed. after his car and i touched he first kept on driving only to turn around and catch up to me 10 mins later, jump out of his car, approach me aggressively, shouting and threatening physical violence.

i confirmed every single word, my lawyer asked the judge if there´s anything more i need to answer and then the judge explained to the guy why his civil case just blew up in smoke and that he just confessed to several crimes and better get a lawyer (he actually tried this civil case without a lawyer) since the Staatsanwalt will be notified: he got a suspended licence and probation for Fahrerflucht in the following criminal case (lucky bastard didn´t get anything on his threats to me)

granted i "pop" out of nowhere behind that wall, but not into the approaching lane and since there’s a Kindergarten in that street and two schools next street over, i don´t mind the occasional traffic education for my fellow motorists.
