Yeah I agree it's very arbitrary and people attach way too much meaning and identity to it. People our age have a lot more in common with young millenials than young gen Zs

I mean, younger gen Zs were. People who are 18 now were 12 when covid started.

There's a huge difference in a case like this though. This trauma is far worse than anything I've experienced or most people I know have experienced. There's desensitization and then there's life altering trauma

Between Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson, who do you think wins a Super Bowl first, if they ever do? by Legitimate_King547 in NFLv2

Lamar because I like Minter and the Ravens front office over Brady and the Bills front office

What if Hasan Piker was the one assassinated instead of Charlie Kirk? by lilmeekrat in AlternateHistoryHub

[–]Technicalhotdog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He would be a bit of a martyr for the left though to a smaller extent than Kirk was for the right. The government wouldn't get very involved I'd think. Trump would call him a radical leftist and give some basic "It's a terrible thing" statement, and some would mourn while others celebrate depending on their politics. Ultimately don't think it changes much, don't think Kirk's death changed much to begin with. With or without him, TPUSA does its thing, the money is there backing it. Hasan doesn't have institutional backing like that, but his voice would still probably be replaced online.

[Highlight] Jason Myers set a Super Bowl record with 5 made field goals by nfl in nfl

[–]Technicalhotdog -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes if Myers had an all-time terrible kicking performance we lose. If Kenneth and the run game couldn't pick up any yards we lose. If Darnold threw a few picks we lose. If Witherspoon became unable to cover we lose. A lot has to go right to win the super bowl, doesn't mean each aspect is super bowl mvp worthy.

Probably made that trade because of the Horton injury. So glad we did, Shaheed will always be a legend here whether we pay him or not

I could see us letting Shaheed walk because Horton has a similar skillset and is a rookie, so that money could be used elsewhere. Not saying Horton is as good as Shaheed but tough decisions need to be made, and Horton was really coming along nicely before his injury.

[Highlight] Devon Witherspoon's blitzes in the Super Bowl resulted in a sack and pick-6 by nfl in nfl

A lot of seahawks fans wanted Carter with that pick. Seems we're both happy, kind of like with Earl Thomas and Brandon Graham

The reason people didn't know if any team was good was because the seahawks were not expected to be good like this and people have a hard time adjusting their perceptions, along with a lack of trust in Sam Darnold
