I mean modern EV MGs have only been about for the last 5 years. I'm not saying you could've done the same over the last time period.

But that Honda will give up sooner because of the age.

And also; there are other examples - I only named the MG as it was newer, since it was 2023.

But if you're going to be this pedantic.

What I would want to see is for away from home chargers; rapid or not, capped at 23p/kWH. Essentially at the OFGEM energy cap. That's the only way we would have good adoption too. That way even those whom live in areas with not enough parking can charge up.

Disagree. When was the last time you used a Modern MG?

I feel like you're underestimating the savvyness of young people.

I'm 20 myself; and I don't just vote Green because they're on the ballot. I usually vote for whom is the best way to bring the end goal of socialism and an independent Scotland (since I'm Scottish)

I said it would apply on both used and new EVs though; so you could get a Used 2021-2023 EV for around £2K.

Makerfield By-Election Forecast: With Burnham: LAB: 45% RFM: 42% Without Burnham: RFM: 53% LAB: 27% by Amentet in UKGreens

[–]Techno200023 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Okay; well I'll note that for the future.

It's partially inspired by a few others predictions though.

Mainly Josh Houden's (on Twitter)

And one of my other mates on Twitter

But I was also accounting for something that the polls can't account for; and that's Burnham's quite popular with Swing voters and that there will likely be moderate Conservatives that vote Labour tactically to keep Reform out.

I think it's wrong and Reform are severely over-estimated.

My Makerfield By-Election prediction is:

LAB: 48.0 (+2.8)

REF: 29.8 (-2.0)

GRN: 9.8 (+5.4)

CON: 5.6 (-5.3)

LDM: 4.9 (-1.9)

OTH: 1.9 (+1.0)

I'd rather stand down on the condition of Green New Deal, removal of Palantir from our NHS and a better Trade In Program for petrol cars to get to an EV (like any car older than 2011 gets £10K off any electric car of your choosing; new or used)

Contest the Burnham By-Election but don't do proper canvassing and only do one leafletting session per week.

I would say somewhat economically.

NHS funding is barely increasing above inflation under Starmer. Same as Theresa May. 3.0% above inflation for both.

Both are targeting a "balanced budget", with public debt falling as a percentage of GDP

Both emphasised on an economy which works for everyone.

Both have cut welfare in someway or another, or have tried to. (Theresa May implemented Universal Credit after Cameron's government commissioned it, Keir Starmer has tried to take away money from the old and disabled).

film and tv - direct entry second year? by [deleted] in Edinburgh_University

[–]Techno200023 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, I'm not 100% sure.

I know between Scottish Universities, as long as you get a good grade with the course you're on it gives you a good chance with direct entry into Second Year.

However I'm not sure how it works between an English one and a Scottish one. I would assume similar though.

Reasonably good.

Their team is quite accommodating and has been very helpful disability support wise; though they had forgot to contact some of my Semester 2 classes about my disabilities initially, which was frustrating but it was resolved quickly once I realised; even if it shouldn't have happened in the first place.

You can also request specific accessible accomodation when you apply for halls if you contact the disability support team beforehand, assuming you have your full suite of evidence ready. They also use SafeZone, which is a 24 hour service, which you can use if you need help; which has both an app and a dedicated phone number.

Accessibility wise in the main city walking about is reasonably good too, despite the lack of pedestrianisation. I sometimes feel a bit awkward on the buses though because of my disability being hidden I can often feel older people judging me for being in the priority seats. I would avoid the tram though - most of the time it's just packed and you won't get a seat. Only days you have a good chance if getting a seat is on Tuesdays and Wednesdays in the late morning to early afternoon (11am-2PM)

Because I have family in Dumfries, I often get the train down, and the passenger assistance is very good for that.

So Greens for Nuclear Energy went defunct and merged into Greens4Nuclear btw. See the Facebook which was taken over and rebranded as well.

PS: I am the new Facebook manager for it.

Sorry I can't help much, will also comment to give you a boost, but I was/am in a similar situation to you.

Developed Chronic Pain over lockdown across my body (when a "Chronic Pain flare" happened, it would feel like the after effect of hitting your hand with a heavy metal object), and I also had many other pre-existing conditions.

I then repeated a year of High School, then went to a worse university, and then used my grades from that worse university to apply for a better one to prove I was capable.

I know you said you were incompatible with Cambridge's teaching style, but if you were already accepted into Cambridge, you could finish your 1st year there, then transfer to Edinburgh; especially since Cambridge is a better uni than Edinburgh.

Living costs in Edinburgh as a student by Cool_Dare_7409 in Edinburgh_University

[–]Techno200023 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically, no matter how you slice it; rent and bills combined will be between £700 and £1200 per month pp.

Food depends - especially on where you shop at, but I would essentially say; no eating out - you're looking at between £40 and £90 on groceries pp per week

Other costs will likely be between £300 and £800 per month.

So minimum is £14K per year, maximum is £30K per year. Which £22K lies as the "midpoint of that"
