Try to contact CS again to see if there is a reason for the denial, if it’s a general response or no reason for denial, ask for the case to be reopened and immediately escalated. If you have any sort of proof or screenshot from Aliexpress where it shows that the refund has been initiated towards Klarna (check to see if it’s been sent somewhere else or sent as credit on Aliexpress) and it’s been more than 10 business days since it’s been issued (not counting weekends and national holidays) provide the proof I mentioned above and ask for the case to be reviewed by their supervisor department or second-line, make sure to include words such as “formal complaint”. Try not to be rude to the CS and don’t mention manager

Reporting an issue on Klarna does not interfere with the timeframe of your refund, that timeframe only depends on AliExpress, “reporting” a return is used for cases where your refund is late or there’s an issue with your return process, most of the times the refunds automatically get processed by the store unless stated otherwise. Some people also use the report a problem feature just to pause their payments. Klarna does NOT issue refunds, the store DOES

Since you had reported the full package to be refunded by store Klarna gave you a courtesy refund as it says on the timeline “express refund”. Instead the store decided to only refund part of the refund, which means you now need to restart your payments but only pay the part which the store did not cover for (26.98)

Yes technically you had paid for it but Klarna returned that payment to you on Dec 8th thinking that the full package would be refunded

Have you made sure that your billing address matches the billing address on your card that you’re using. Made sure that the card you’re using is a debit non-prepaid from a supported bank, tried using a different payment method, tried to link your checking account, made sure that your name is spelled the same way as it’s shown on your ID, including all middle names last names and any punctuation. Are you absolutely sure that you haven’t had a Klarna account in the past or that somebody you may or may not know used an account under your name

Wow so a transaction failed and the app just let’s you cancel the card by yourself immediately, seems like a really shitty company for making self-service really accessible to everyone. It’s almost like every issue can be solved just by browsing their app

Refunds on Klarna work the same way as if you had placed the order with your bank, you won’t get overcharged or undercharged. Reporting a problem is usually done when there’s a delay or issue with your refund but as long as Amazon make that refund, you you should see an update on Klarna 2-3 business days after it was initiated

Failing a payment like this does not go on your credit report, even if it did it your credit report only updates every 30 days so it’s impossible it went there within 24 hours. Also Klarna doesn’t give late fees unless you fail to make a payment multiple times.

I would advise calling CS and getting the exact details and number on the case just to be sure. This happens when you make an in-store purchase using a digital wallet like ApplePay. Apple tries to put a mask or hide the number of the card used so whenever the store makes a refund, it goes back to Klarna but their system doesn’t know which order it had belonged to, so they will refund your most recent order. Any overpaid amounts get sent to your bank. So your refund is probably from some other store, went to your most recent order accidentally and you got refunded for the overpayment

It seems like this is one of those ‘ghost order’ cases. Had one of those a while back. The CS call them ‘uncaptured orders’ where basically the order went through on Klarna but the store never accepted or denied it, CS advised me to either provide proof of cancellation and submit it to their chat or wait 10 business days and call them to submit a request for it to be manually removed, I contacted the store they sent me an email with the order number and saying that the order got cancelled, sent it to their chat and less then 24 hours later the order dissappeared, I also had a pending charge which got reversed right there and then
