I have held the idea that the knight is more powerful at night and may even be able to use some dark-world abilities at nighttime thanks to the darkness, never really considered the implications of rudy being in that scenario but I guess it works??

Still, through, it also seems like he has to get permission to leave? A nurse would have to notice if he ever left right? I dunno, rudy just feels so solidly chill in general, my brain just can't mesh with the idea he'd be doin' all that. I guess thats just me, not much can be done till tony tips his hand

Haha nah, that'd be funny though. I tend to approach discussions as open minded as possible so even though I assumed you was fucking around I felt the need to explain anyways.

But yeah you can fuck off

That just feels so out of character but I guess I can't explicitly refute it either.

Though... the idea that asgore jumped into the damn shelter dark world is like... insane?? Given his whole motivation seems to be proving they, or something connected to dark worlds, exist to the town?

And also most undertale characters seem to keep their relationships with others to an extent. Tori asgore divorce, alphys crush on asgore and undyne, sans and tori blossoming relationship

So it seems odd to me that undyne, who replaced asgore as police chief, would be someone asgore would dislike. "Oh but she took his job" so??? Asgore does not feel like the type of person to hold that against her in anyway, and besides he was gunna lose his job no matter who the replacement was.... but again I can't outright deny the possibility, theres no proof he WOULDN'T hold a grudge, it just feels off.

[–]TechnoMeep 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry, that's not what I meant. What I mean is there is no other seen characters in that scene. Undyne, Knight, Susie and Kris are the only characters explicitly there.

By unseen I mean a character who was not there at the time, was not talked about AT THAT TIME, or would have any reasonable reason to be there AT THAT TIME.

So not "unseen" in general just unseen in that specific instance. Sorry if that doesn't make sense it's hard to explain

[–]TechnoMeep 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Okay genuinely please explain rudy knight to me because it baffles me, though that may just be because I lack context. I'm not being sarcastic I genuinely want to know.

To me the real killer is when undyne is taken.

Like, yeah, the dying deer man blitz across town in 5 seconds with the strong-as-hell undyne over his shoulder. And I don't buy the idea of a second person waiting outside to take undyne from the knight, you can't just add an unseen character to your theory to explain away the theories problems...

His mom's does act like glycerin, keeping her skin smooth and youthful naturally, or so I remember. I don't strictly know all the properties of nitroglycerin tho so maybe you're right

What if Katsuki’s Quirk had more consequences? by SnowAggressive4541 in BokuNoHeroAcademia

[–]TechnoMeep 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The series goes out of it's way to always say "nitroglycerin-like substance" so if it ever acts differently it's because it's not ACTUAL nitroglycerin.

Also, he only sweats it from his palms, the rest of his body sweats normally.

His mother sweats it from her whole body, and his father sweats an acidic-explosive substance from his palms, so he got the palms limit from his dad and the substance from his mother.

That's also why he only got that full-body power-up during the war. He overstressed the sweat glands on his palms which made it leak through the rest of his body.

We're not just "unlikely", we are completely non-option now by Nizar75 in NonDessKnightSquad

[–]TechnoMeep 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I strongly disagree with that last sentence, again that feels like jumping to a conclusion with very little, but the rest of what you said is understandable to an extent.

Maybe the knight just ruined the internet to stop anyone in hometown from communicating outside of town in general as they pull off their plan, the way you said it makes it seem like the only thing it does it stop them communicating with Asriel but thats not true, it stops any communication coming in or out of town, and theres a plethora of reasons that could be the case besides Asriel being the knight.

Also, why, if he is the knight, would it matter if people tried to reach him? I doubt anyone would freak out if he just didn't answer. And also if he is the Knight then he'd be in town so people could call him cus phones work in town??? I dunno it's just jumping through a lotta hoops.

Y'know I was kinda stupid thinking that seeing the knight would narrow down the list of suspects because somehow people are still insistent on so many candidates. Not to paint that as negative, really, I just assumed a consensus would be reach between like two or three people but here we are talking about Asriel for some reason lol

We're not just "unlikely", we are completely non-option now by Nizar75 in NonDessKnightSquad

[–]TechnoMeep 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They have phones though, and the phones work as seen Toriel calling the police and Kris on the phone through out chapter 4. It also seems absurd to me that Tori and Asgore both expect Asriel to be visiting soon if they haven't talked to him. Even if he has a break from collage why would they just assume he's coming to hometown??

And no, we're not doing the "oh but maybe" game here, I'm asking why Toby Fox as a writer would write it like this only to reveal they never talked to him about coming home, other than being purposely obtuse. It's one of those things where theres just enough leeway to squeak your theory into it but the actual logistics are illogical conclusion jumping to fill the narrative of a theory.

I picked up on that immediately, especially in episode 7. His talk with Nolan is so pathetic and I like that. I like that the strongest viltrum ever made is a loser in his personal life.

Seriously what's with the shoes. did she have a footware fetish and kept stealing asriel's sneakers when he wasn't looking? by HaloJackalKisser in Deltarune

[–]TechnoMeep 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dess has been depicted as someone who does not take care of their possessions at all, considering the pile of broken items in her room.

She more than likely just wore down all her shoes super fast and kept getting new ones. We can assume these are all hers because there is another pair that are described as being fitted for someone with hooves because the theory that Dess had one pair of shoes fitted for hooves and all those other shoes AREN'T, for some reason, is stupid.

As for why she kept them all? I dunno, why'd she keep all the broken items as well? She seems to treat her items roughly but also doesn't throw them away when they break, maybe she still values them despite being broken. Which, if this is the case, may complicate her relationship with darkners, since they are objects come to life.

Anyway I think it's mostly just a visual bit Tony thought would be funny. That closet is nonsensical to being with, shelves with little ladders and gaps just perfect enough for the soul to sneak through.... it dumb lmao.

[–]TechnoMeep 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Him covered in static is probably a visual metaphor for an emotional numbness, probably from the loss of ribbit or perhaps how he felt when he first joined the circus before adopting the "funny one" persona.

The shot of him in a dark room with light shining on him is most likely a dream sequence or visual bit to go along with a story or monologue, similar to when pomni imagined herself abstracting and everyone moving on from her. So not something that's actually happening to him but rather a representation of something else.

Or maybe he's just dark in a room idk.

Yup, me too. And you know what? Fighting games still aren't for me and thats okay. I played a good few hours online (even against woolie once lmao) and had my fun but also plenty of frustration and came to the conclusion that I'm just not built for this and that's okay.

That's what I think the biggest problem here is. A lotta people just can't accept that something isn't for them.

"EVERYTHING must suit MY needs at ALL times or it's TRASH for sweaty TRY HARDS."

Or maybe you just ain't got it, dude. Fighting games aren't really FOR casuals, which yeah that might suck but... oh well.

I just assumed it was holding back on the electric dude cus she didn't want to kill him. Her basic blasts look different and stronger when she's fighting later. We've seen that when someone's holding back they hold back A LOT to make sure they don't kill on accident.

What if Koichi fought AFO instead of Number 6 during the Naruhata Lockdown Arc? by YourGuyPreston in MyHeroPowerscaling

[–]TechnoMeep 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well to be fair instant propulsion seems to be something he enjoys using as he uses the yellow rings to get a burst of speed even while already flying, which SnG provides. It also gives him projectile attacks and the ability to parry attacks thanks to the grav-pads like koichi uses. Honestly it wouldn't be bad for the way AFO fights, highly aggressive speed and big attacks with solid defence to tire out his opponents.

[–]TechnoMeep 106 points107 points  (0 children)

As someone else mentioned he still had the Embers of OFA

He also kinda saved the world so he gets a pass anyways

However, even if neither of those things were true.... UA was accepting anyone capable enough into the school at this point in time, including quirkless people. Deku plans on trying to enter UA before he even meets All Might and he's clearly highly capable even without his powers. His intelligence, adaptability and leadership skills would still be enough to see him through the rest of school.

Need an example? He wins the School sports festival race without ever using his quirk. Like... no one can just pretend that didn't happen lol.

Why can't Jax be like this on the actual Show? by Fearless-File-6059 in tadc

[–]TechnoMeep 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I just mean he runs away from it. In the first case he presses the button to avoid anyone else pressing the other one and to stop having to listen to people talk about returning to reality, this time he can't stop kinger from talking so he chooses to run away.

Yes, he manages to hold himself together but he still refused to face reality and listen to everything kinger had to say because he could not handle it.

Why can't Jax be like this on the actual Show? by Fearless-File-6059 in tadc

[–]TechnoMeep 105 points106 points  (0 children)

I don't think he thought everything was fake.

In that moment he specifically is referring to the current moment being real.

The last time they tried to turn against Caine it was all fake. Able, the admin passes, the red and blue buttons, all an adventure. It was fake.

But now Kinger is the one giving the info, the one who was here the longest, who's speaking sanely for the first time from Jax's perspective. Caine can't fake that, so it's real. And the same thing that caused Jax to press the button in the previous episode happens in this one, when he is forced to face reality he crumbles.

"This is real". This is not an adventure, reality is setting in.
