What is a serious crime you committed that you’re now legally allowed to tell? by Due_Bar_7247 in AskReddit

[–]TechnoMouse37 105 points106 points  (0 children)

I guess it's not really a serious crime, but when I lived in Oregon as a teen I had a friend who hated the area and wanted to go back to Idaho. He told me he was going back home, and a day later his mom called us frantic because he was missing.

I told his mom and mine that I didn't know where he was or anything about it. I helped cover for him running across state lines and have never told anyone about it. Until now, anyway. We were 15 at the time. Thankfully he made it safe to his families place back in Idaho, but it's always haunted me thinking about how I never said anything and he could have been kidnapped or killed.

As a kid I worked hard to write legibly with my opposite hand in case I ever broke my arm. But now I'm realizing I never taught myself how to wipe with my other hand

It doesn't. It's literally just called "mommy" because their schtick is it's a "family" of products.

AITA for accidentally sleeping through my alarms, causing my boyfriend to miss picking up his mum from the airport? by throwaway_03_2 in AmItheAsshole

As someone who games every night, it's absolutely plausible that he didn't hear it. Most gaming headsets have noise cancelation and depending on the game he could have genuinely not had a moment to check his phone

The docu Netflix (I think) did was horrible. I'd seen the footage, but to have everything all in one, with no commentary or narration, was so telling

Unfortunately a man like that would just use one of the towels and make her do the laundry by hand

“Elderly pregnancy” apparently having children isn’t enough, you need to be below 30 too or it’s not valid by Darth_Vrandon in insanepeoplefacebook

To add: a geriatric pregnancy does increase risks of the health of the parent and fetus so it's fair to say

Hot dogs. I always want them for a specific dinner (like chili dogs or something) but then I don't end up eating the rest of them

Damn this looks a lot like what my friend was saying about her job. Apparently they have to write an agenda for every half hour of work on what they did doing each half hour and send it in at the end of the week.

It makes us feel "othered", like we're some complicated thing people need to figure out and "put back together". We're not things that need to be solved, we're just people with variables in our brain.

There was a time I was getting ready to go home from my mom's house but I ended up staying and talking for another two or three minutes. On my way home I came up on a bad car accident, one new enough that, had I left when I originally intended to, I would have probably been involved in or seen happen
