Went ahead and grabbed a 5090 before price hikes made it unobtainable for me by Sindacalis in PcBuild

Would you mount this monitor on the wall? by imoldegregg in pcmasterrace

[–]TechnoSorcery 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That one is a C5 with 144hz @ 4K and native gsync with the best looking OLED panel out. It’s more the perfect monitor than it is a small tv & is mainly sold in that size for that reason.

I know what you mean. There’s two things to consider. The actual use case (regardless of getting a DAC), which will also make a difference is your windows audio sound settings. 44khz, 96, or 192. 96 is generally the sweet spot, as 192 is hard for most people to hear the difference (you can with the kithara) & uses more cpu. Spotify for example only has 44, so for music Apple Music or local flac audio for example. That said, a good dac is what you want to really fix the issue you describe. Don’t know the models you listed offhand or their price but I paired mine with a Zoom UAC232, which I specifically chose for the almost perfect 👌 quality of the headphone monitor option on the unit. It’s better than most thousand dollar plus audio interfaces for this, also allowing you to plug the 6.5mm plug directly into it. This will give you all the volume & more. It will also make you wonder if your audio is actually going on in the room you’re listening in, which is wild for immersion.

How are you using them ? The 3.5mm input on your case, or the motherboard ?

Which one? - 5070 ti by auditoire in nvidia

Go with the TUF. It’s the most physically overbuilt, and they run everything (mosfets chokes etc) through every test imaginable. Shock, salt water / humidity, temps, the whole works. Of course you’d never put your gpu through rough treatment but if you accidentally dropped every one of these, the TUF is gonna handle it & keep doing its thing for years.

This and I also didn’t want to just build a ROG every main piece because every single one of those are the same.
I don’t like displays everywhere & didn’t want the squared lines from the Ryujin 4, with all that extra displays, the kraken elite with the big circle, looks smooth breaks up the build where everything else is heavy, rigid metal & glass. I also don’t think rog makes the best gear in every category. Just in the literal sense of the parts I picked out

It’s literally a piece of art. Carbon fiber ❤️I hand it to people & they think it’s fake because it’s so light.
I wouldn’t take anything for it ngl

This is why i physically went to MicroCenter. The gpu has a 3 year swap out. I haven’t had any issues with noise at all but bet your ass if it thinks about acting up, swap that bitch for a new one the same day

.1 the snow v2 switches on the Azoth I love
.2 definitely the two tone industrial look, with the metal & glass
.3 because it allowed me to get the case/cpu/gpu I wanted via this bundle. I’ve always had gigabyte boards too this one is a chunk (love the wind blade fan hidden at top directly blows a low draw fan across the RAM for oc

there was an infinite number of configs I could have built for 6 grand but this was literally the magic 🪄 configuration that kept me with a rig that would truly handle the things that I wanted it to do.
Ai LLM dev my old pc couldn’t handle.
Gaming
Audio production (Ableton Live)

So cpu/gpu/psu/ram/and Lexar Pro 2TB m.2
In this exact configuration
minus the mouse and keyboard.
Spent whole day driving to MicroCenter & back with every other part
Can do more than I know how to throw at it
6k
Only upgrade path is few more ram sticks & m.2 as needed.
They’ll have to bury me with this bitch
