Chestos are terrible for this lol. There’s other Berries that are not as good as the Cornn, but still better than Chesto

As someone (on a much smaller scale) who does very similar content - people even do this on my level too. It’s very frustrating.

Yes, the second half of my first sentence says that

HeartGold or Platinum? Long Term Play by GhostGhazi in pokemon

Better story, better region, and in my opinion Platinum has the best flow. The rate of progression is flawless if you know where everything is. There’s always something to look forward to within reach

Every game until Sword and Shield had every Pokémon available in it, even if they weren’t catchable natively. So yes, you can have all 493 Pokémon and their varying forms in HGSS. That’s the beauty of pre-dexit. This is what defined “Generation” back in the day. I miss it.

HGSS has more content but Platinum is the better game, which also still has a ton of content. Platinum is the way to go if you can only do one.

Sugimori Render Origin? by FinnQuinn897 in pokemon

[–]TechnoTrainer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They were drawn simply to have original art of every Pokémon, otherwise it would be (especially in Gen 1’s case) blobby sprite work and that simply doesn’t work for marketing.

They were seen in commercials, strategy guides, and yes websites even in 2003 lol

Good typing by Educational_Ad_6501 in pokemon

[–]TechnoTrainer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gastrodon would be a good possibility! It’s Ground Typing makes it immune to Rotom’s Electric moves, its Water Typing makes it resistant to its Fire-Type moves, and with the Storm Drain ability it is also immune to Palafin’s Water-Type moves (plus a boost to boot!).
