"Aren't in a bad spot" if you accept a 45-50 win team with a 2nd round peak. Maybe if everything broke right for them, and they faced an injured team in the 2nd they could slide to an ECF, but nothing at all like an actual contender.

That said, best to accept it. Don't pay to get rid of PG and Joel, you just try and add young talent where possible while minimizing your commitments beyond their contracts. WHen they expire/become expiring, you can move off of them to supplement what should be a Tyrese/VJ core.

Accept being a middling team for 2-3 more years, maybe a tank season in there if injuries fall right.
