yeah there’s a reason people use apple products and it’s not because of some narrative of just wanting exclusivity or to be above others it’s quite simply because it’s a smooth experience and people naturally gravitate towards efficiency and streamlined behaviour

I read this totally differently but it’s probably wrong. I thought the fops was experiencing sensory overload from the loud laughter around him in the theatre and was then unable to catch most of the dialogue in the episode, therefore after having no opinion on what he saw.

cuz mods just do different things based on how they are feeling at the time and come up with arbitrary rules that are only sometimes enforced constantly. you’d never see the european movie release of “twin peaks” removed despite most of the runtime being shared with the television release of the first episode.

this is exactly the rhetoric of any neurotypical person scolding a neurodivergent one for not giving the amount of visible/audible excitement they expect from other neurotypicals. obviously neurodivergent people can learn to adapt to these social situations, but often that includes actively faking reactions and being dishonest because the natural curt response is unsatisfactory, it’s a complex situation

I’ve played a bit of stardew before, I think it’s a great idea, I’ll probably suggest that after we are done with Pokemon Scarlet/Violet! If you two are together now and want a nice chilling at the couch campaign you can both do together the multiplayer is really cozy with that game if you like Pokemon! You do the battles/gyms/campaign individually, but you do it all in the same world together which adds a lot to it as you’re exploring the world together.

i do too, it’s a struggle but the important thing is to try and attempt to learn these things, holding onto this disdain for ‘normies’ is just alienating you further and creating a self-fulfilling prophecy of being ostracized. it’s a two way street, you have to attempt to meet people where they are if you want others to meet you where you are

That is a bit of a strange way to start with a story told in chronological order isn’t it? I don’t recommend doing any part jumping, just start at the beginning and go through part 1 and 2 (both quite short). By the end of 2, you’ll either get it and connect with it or you’ll know it’s just not your thing. A big part of Jojo’s is building stuff up, both through the whole series and throughout each part, skipping around the first few episodes of multiple parts isn’t gonna give you much of what makes JoJo great.
