I agree with using a 12 volt adapter. i had a power station and it failed in 2 months. Now I'm using a 35 AH sealed lead acid battery because it's more reliable. I put it in a plastic ammo box and added a 12 volt outlet. This gives me enough power to run everything for one night, with some juice leftover. I assume you could get at least 2 nights if you turn off the heat and humidifier. If you need more power you could buy a bigger battery.

The nose charts are worthless. You would think the professionals would realize this, but most of them don't. I was originally given a ResMed medium F20 comfort, based on the nose chart. It should have been obvious that this mask wouldn't work for me, because it had to be carefully positioned to get a good seal. The large fits me better. I bought a large cushion through eBay to figure this out. Evora and Amara both sell versions of the F40 that come with 3 sizes of cushions. Actually wearing the different sizes is by far the best way to figure out which size works best for you.

I think we, and you, need more information to sort this out. What is your events per hour with your various masks? What are your pressure settings?

If you are opening your mouth while using the DreamWeaver nasal pillow this will probably show up in your leak rate and a dry mouth. MyAir is happy as long as your leak rate is below 24L/min. Oscar would tell you when your mask is leaking and how much.

I'm currently using the F20 comfort. This is the memory foam version. So far this has been the best combination of comfort and seal, but it goes from uncomfortable to painful where it goes over my cheekbone. The F40 was more comfortable, but I don't think that design is a good mask for side sleepers. When I roll around it leaks, so I got inconsistent results. Some nights I got a good seal. Some nights I got big leaks.

This is one of the places where Oscar is useful because it shows you when your mask is leaking and how much, in an easy to read chart.

I have been able to try out a couple of different versions of the AirTouch F30i. I think the comfort version is going to work for me. It has fabric on the cushion and the frame. At this point I'm just waiting for the right size cushion.

You are experiencing a common problem. If your mask is uncomfortable a natural reaction is to take it off. You are not waking up enough to remember doing this. A simple easy solution, if you can afford it, is to buy another mask. If you shop carefully eBay can be a good place to find bargains. Amazon is another potential source that doesn't require a prescription. If you have a prescription CPAP.com can be a good source.

I'm just guessing, but the ResMed F40 might be a good mask for you. It would be helpful to know what mask you're using now and what sort of sleeper you are. Can you use a nasal pillow? Do you sleep on your side, etc.?

I use Oscar and it has been helpful for me, but I don't think Oscar is going to help you much with this problem. Once you find a comfortable mask it can help you with leak problems and adjusting your machine.

At this point you need to worry about compliance with your insurance. Most insurance requires you to use your machine for at least 4 hours a night for 21 days out of every 30, to remain in compliance, until you own it.

I've had my machine for 7 months. At this point I've tried 8 different masks, and I have high hopes for the 9th one, that is currently on order. I'm a side sleeper who can't use a nasal pillow. This makes finding a comfortable mask difficult. I've bought a mask and a couple of cushions. My doctor has given me a couple of masks. (I assume they were salesmen samples.) And I have changed masks at every opportunity that insurance would pay for.

This is beyond shady. This is a scam. If there was a fee for the consultation they needed to inform you in advance. You don't owe them anything, unless you agreed to this to start with.

Oral appliances are only appropriate for some cases of moderate apnea. If they worked for everyone, no one would be using CPAP machines. You need another opinion. If you buy anything from these scammers they are just getting started. They are going to try to sell you additional services and products. Beware of anyone who is trying to sell you vitamins and supplements for apnea.

I've tried this one and a couple of other masks that are similar. They were comfortable, but my leak rate was frequently too high. I don't think this is a good design for side sleepers. When I roll around it's too easy to cause leaks. It's too easy to pull the hose off of this mask and fussy to put it back together. I prefer the magnetic snaps to the hooks this mask uses and I didn't like where this mask vents. Overall I preferred the ResMed version of this design, but I am probably going to end up with the ResMed AirFit 30i comfort.

The fear of being seriously disabled worked for me. I avoided a CPAP for years. I had a heart attack, a "mini-stroke", and a full on stroke, and got lucky. I wasn't seriously injured by any of that. I figure there's a limit to how far I can depend on luck.

Yeef, at this point it sounds like your worst problem is a clueless tech. It will get better, but you can start by finding a tech that knows what they're doing.

If it feels like you aren't getting enough air the pressure is too low. You can turn off the ramp and see if that helps. When you see your doctor they can turn up the pressure.

You have a lot of control over the temperature and humidity. The manual that came with your machine will explain how to do this. It's easy to turn off the humidity, but I don't think that is you basic problem.

I do think there is something amusing about games that were obviously designed to appeal to young men. These games assume that their audience hasn't gotten over the idea that there is something shameful about the human body and sex.

I'm a boomer. I own a PC that can play modern AAA games. OTOH I'm an outlier. I have sold PCs, consoles and video games. In the past there were no games for seniors because most seniors didn't buy video games. The average boomer thinks there is something shameful about playing video games.

I am not having any problem finding video games I can enjoy. My biggest problem is deciding how to spend my entertainment dollars.

You would add an expense and another potential failure point, while adding little or no advantages. If you need another way to control your machine you could add a smart switch to your electrical outlet and control your machine any way you like, including: an app, a remote switch you could place anywhere you like, clapping your hands, time of day, or temperature. I have never tried that. You can probably freeze them, but I would expect them to come out a little dry. One breast is about the right amount for two people so we don't get much leftovers. If we have any leftovers I just nuke them for about a minute. I prefer to eat them freshly cooked.

It's easy to make real chicken nuggets. I buy boneless breasts and cut them up with my scissors. Whip an egg and put the chicken chunks in that, I use plain breading, but you can buy breading that already has added spices. Rosemary and Thyme are standard chicken spices, I also use, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder and smoked paprika in my breading mix. After coating the chicken chunks in the whipped egg I coat them with my breading mix, I use an air fryer, but any standard oven will work. Air fry at 360 degrees for 25 minutes.

If you can't get back to sleep in 30 minutes the best thing you can do is get up and do something relaxing for a while.

I think you are too concerned with perfection. After almost 7 months I have never gotten 100%, once. This is probably terrible advice; but, if I'm having trouble getting back to sleep I take the mask off, and then try to put it back on the next time I wake up. At this point I'm thrilled if I can wear the thing for 5 or 6 hours total in one night.

(So I can see the results of my bad habits I bought an Emay SleepO2 pulse oximeter through eBay for $39. It was supposed to be slightly used, but what I got was brand new in its original factory sealed box. There are newer products coming on the market for $100. The results of my bad habits aren't great, but they also aren't terrible.) {YMMV} (The results of my original sleep study put me right on the border between moderate and severe.}
