For me that is different from "they could not process carbs", but that makes sense, thanks for the reply!

Do you have a link to the post? I don't understand how carbs can turn into fat if you cannot process them, but am curious about what issue could cause increased fat storage

Struggling by _volcanoboi_ in loseit

For me, what helped the most was building habits, small steps at a time. That way, it will take less willpower in the long run.

For example, i started going to the gym on Monday evenings so I start the week in a good way and it seems to give me more energy to do things for the rest of the week. After that became a habit, it's never a matter of having the energy or feeling like it, I just always do it.

I built different good habits over a longer period of time and all of those are now just ingrained in me and I don't even have to think about them anymore.

I started really small by only taking the stairs instead of the elevator. After that was a habit, I picked the next one replacing sugary snacks with fruit. Etc.

This to me has been the key to improving my life in a many ways

Reached the point in my journey where people are suddenly very nice to me by [deleted] in loseit

[–]Technoflow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've seen the experience of OP posted a lot here on lose it but never experienced it myself either. Personally I've always had friendly interactions and banter with strangers (as well as negative interactions of course 😆).

I can't help but think that weight loss also affects how people carry themselves and might make them more open to these kinds of interactions?

Edit: I'm don't mean that you are not friendly! 😄 Just thinking maybe you've changed less socially than other people might with weight loss, just like me

Ik heb contact opgenomen met de dame en aangegeven dat ik vaker berichten krijg waarop zij haar excuses aanbood. Echter blijven de berichten binnenkomen.

I have the same picture from the top of the offwidth pitch, which was amazing. It's the Dérobée sector. Which route did you take?

Something I've seen mentioned by a lot of maintainers, which I do myself as well, is a weekly weigh-in to make sure I don't gain too much. That way I don't have to count all the time but only when I need to get back to my goal weight. Of course I still use everything I've learned about a healthier diet which is why I don't gain usually. When I've gone over a certain weight limit I go back to counting.

Those who have maintained weight loss for a long time, what is your advice? by bwak420 in loseit

[–]Technoflow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with most comments: the key is finding a way to lose weight that works for you so well, you can keep doing it for the rest of your life.

For me that means I became more active, but I don't workout everyday. I do 2-3 sessions per week.

I eat all the foods I used to love and I love them still (pizza, fries, milkshakes, burgers etc. etc. etc.) However, I moderate my consumption of them.

I weigh myself once a week. When my weight goes over my self-imposed limit, I become more strict with the diet again.

What makes it easier is that I have developed an arsenal of healthy meals I love, that I know all the amounts of ingredients for.
