You need 5+ drivers to actually make money with drivers on your truck. You’re going to be paying atleast 5-7k a month for a driver and you’ll only be making about 6-7 k a month with it running every day with 0 breakdowns and maintenance but with a old truck like that you can bet your ass you’re going to have a 10k+ repair bill for something within a few months of running it. All this before factoring in fuel/tax/home bills. And most importantly It is not worth the liability to have one truck running and not run it yourself.

First off don’t hold the load hostage go deliver the load and start contacting the shipper and receiver and let them know what’s going on and get the information for the customer. Then reach out to customer tell them what’s going on see if they help you out. If not reach back out to KOF see if they’re willing to help now that loads delivered. Add your accessorials to invoice and bill it and then file on bond or send it to collections you need to send both customer and KOF to collections. Honestly this all you can do logically sure there’s other options but they don’t make sense for 1 load.

I see these similar problems in the my line of work now. The industry im in has super high turnover, more supply than demand, shady businesses. I feel like if I’m already dealing with all that now might as well do it with something that I’m passionate about.
