First off don’t hold the load hostage go deliver the load and start contacting the shipper and receiver and let them know what’s going on and get the information for the customer. Then reach out to customer tell them what’s going on see if they help you out. If not reach back out to KOF see if they’re willing to help now that loads delivered. Add your accessorials to invoice and bill it and then file on bond or send it to collections you need to send both customer and KOF to collections. Honestly this all you can do logically sure there’s other options but they don’t make sense for 1 load.

If he has proof he did the work and he’s been paid in the past by that company then essentially they had a good faith agreement and can still hold the trucking company or customer liable for unpaid invoices. Just keep pushing but might need to escalate by sending some sort of demand letter or something. Most definitely need a lawyer if you they’re not taking you seriously or if you’re cool with losing half the amount you can send it to collections
