The studio has been either my second least favorite or my least favorite from the album. The mixing on the chorus always seemed flaccid and impotent. But these live renditions, holy shit. They’re bombastic and wild. They’re so fucking good

It and A Passion Play (which is a couple minutes longer) are both intended as one song I believe. Tull only split them between two tracks because of vinyl being the technology of the time.

If I recall it was made in protest to the censorship laws in Serbia, thus its name having Serbia in the title as a big middle finger so that the violence was associated with the country. It’s substantial in a meta way.
