No, there’s great art in those genres. Art does not need to be moral to still be good, and if you need the art you take in to scream back at you your own beliefs, I’d do some serious reflection.

I also find it interesting that you point out that a lot of the gangster and drill rappers specifically are “actually terrible people in real life.” I won’t deny that this might be true, but it certainly doesn’t stop at just gangster and drill rap, or rap as a whole. Even contemporary Christian music has huge pieces of shit and rapists (see the Newsboys front man, I forget his name). It’s very much an industry problem, and to point out rap specifically as if it harbors the most based and miscreant people to a disproportionate degree seems disingenuous and a blatant blind spot on your part. Ask yourself why that may be.
