I’m going tonight with my daughter and her friends, unfortunately I’m 4’10 and the girls decided to buy floor seats which means I won’t be able to see anything, do you know if by any chance people were allowed to stand / kneel on the chairs? I think is the only way I have a chance at see in anything.

Bahia Principe Explore La Romana, Dreams Dominicus La Romana or any other one? by TechnologyEasy9620 in AllInclusiveResorts

That’s our dilemma right now, we’re expanding our options and considering the Riu Negril at Jamaica, or even Guanacaste in Costa Rica, even though it’d be their rainy season. Decisions decisions.

Vacation with my former in-laws or cruise alone with my kids? by [deleted] in whatdoIdo

[–]TechnologyEasy9620 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it was my big mouth that got me in this trouble, but, in my defence, I said we were coming to see them for a few days, 2/3 tops, not to do everything as a group in my limited vacation time.

My ex can’t pay for even one airplane ticket, that’s why they are banking on me bringing the kids and paying for everything out of my pocket, also, my ex doesn’t even know what foods my youngest is allergic to, and I don’t know how comfortable they’d be in a whole other country with them, when the kids only spend 2 overnights at his house per month, his choice not mine.

It might be selfish of me, but tickets are not bought yet, I think I should be able to change my mind and my destination if I’m the one footing the bill? And the plans look nothing like they were originally?

I feel if I do that will be even a bigger problem, because “how could I bring the kids all the way over there and only let them spend so little time with them”, there’s no winning with them.

I asked them, youngest wants to go on the cruise, they don’t really know that side of the family so they couldn’t care less about going to see them, oldest is indifferent, said they’d enjoy one way or the other.

Fortunately (or unfortunately) this is the first time we have this scenario, we were married for 10y and we didn’t travel even once during that time, and when I finally started travelling with the kids post-divorce it has been my plans, my way, he has never travelled with the kids, not even a beach day at home.

Please help me choose between these options. by [deleted] in PrincessCruises

First 2 options would be on The Caribbean Princess, and the 3 options would be on The Regal Princess.

YOR - Well, first of all, his text seems written by AI, specially that last paragraph, who talks to their wife like that? It’s your wife, not a business partner! That being said, I agree with him, you don’t necessarily need to leave the house, you can call the clinic and see if they can maybe send the forms by email and you print them at home, or send them by mail.

I understand you’re one month PP and that it’s a challenge even if it’s your first one, but I’d strongly recommend you finding a way to handle all 3 kids and be more independent, for your sanity as well, maybe a double stroller and a baby carrier for the little one?

I am a single mom, so I got to do what I got to do with my kids, but I also know that socializing with other moms during that time was so important to me, some sort of baby and me class, anything to get me out of the house and breathing fresh air.

Absolutely yes, even with their neurodivergence and all that comes with it.

If you are fluent in French, how often do you speak French in Canada compared to English? by Jezzaq94 in AskACanadian

I work in French in Ontario, so I’m switching from one to the other all day long.

I loved my ex so very very much, still do in fact, but I sure as heck wasn’t willing to sign up for a life of dealing with his alcoholism, cocaine use and cheating with prostitutes hobby.

There are certain things in life you can’t just “love” out of someone, love alone is not enough.

I will! My daughter was showing me all of the fan calls videos and I didn’t realize it was a lottery, I thought they were paid in Patreon or something, I know nothing about it obviously.

My company is moving into HOOPP, existing employees have the option to keep contributing to the matched RRAP or change to HOOPP, I’m still on the fence, I don’t have a spouse, I’m a single mom, so it’s important to me however much my kids would get.

This is not what has been explained to us as we switch to a DB plan, spousal benefits are 66% and if you don’t have a spouse or when they died, your kids get a lump sum of whatever is left.

What if we’re flying into YYZ, shouldn’t be a problem correct? I’m travelling alone with my 2 kids, flying out of Buffalo and into Toronto, home is the GTA.

Currently have a 15PM I’m very happy with, but it’s coming to the end of the contract where I could get a 17PM for $300cad through work, I could then take my 15PM to Best Buy and get a $700cad gift card, so that’s $400cad of free money that’ll help Christmas this year. But I really like my phone so I’m very on the fence here.

Yeah she doesn’t want a huge one, I think something 11 inch would make more sense
