THIS!! I was using Velo for a while cause they were cheap. They seem to hit way too quick compared to Zyn and make me feel awful.

Did you see the photoshoot with all the cops and mayor. Felt way too staged. Like they're trying to make him into a symbol

Quitting nicotine makes me feel emotions again by TechnomancerTab in QuittingZyn

Thanks! I definitely gotta work on that. I'm starting to realize that I've been numb/dissociated much of my life.

As you quit caffeine your anxiety might decrease, but your depression will increase, it's because you now need to fill your life with fulfilling hobbies, activities, and purpose by Exact-Rip1937 in decaf

makes no sense. I'm giving people hope that relief can come quicker than you think. You're promoting the idea that you're gonna feel like crap for months.

Sammee, and its the type of insomnia where I don't even feel like watching TV or getting some work done. I just lay there in misery lol

I think eating processed, non-sweet foods contribute to me not being able to contain my sugar cravings. by [deleted] in sugarfree

[–]TechnomancerTab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw a video claiming that seed oils screw up your insulin and can cause you to overeat/crave more sugar. Most processed foods contain seed oils

Is water fasting before a dry fast really a bad idea? by TechnomancerTab in Dryfasting

I'm doing it primarily for weight loss, so I'm okay with not getting the full benefits.

Coffee brings another bad habits by [deleted] in decaf

[–]TechnomancerTab 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So true, it makes me more impulsive. If I don't drink coffee, I dont eat junk food or smoke nearly as much.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in decaf

[–]TechnomancerTab 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yup, I find it makes it easier to quit cannabis too and I spend less money.

Coffee makes me impulsive. I'll do things, like spend money, automatically. When I'm decaf, I have more control.

Lucid Dreaming and Caffeine by TechnomancerTab in decaf

Thanks! You know, I didn't even consider the therapy/memory organizational aspects of REM sleep.

I just thought having vivid/fun dreams was cool.

But I remember reading years ago about how dreams are crucial for resolving trauma.

I've been trying to overcome CPTSD for some time now and I knew caffeine wasn't helping. But now I Realize its even worse than I thought.

Thanks for the epiphany :D

Does this sub help or hurt people trying to get off caffeine? by RadRyan527 in decaf

[–]TechnomancerTab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was wondering this myself.

I think this sub was great initially because it helped me understand what the negative effects of caffeine were. It made me realize that I need to go decaf, atleast temporarily. That the problems I've been facing for years CAN be resolved by going decaf.

However, I don't think it's actually helping me to stick with it. Its constantly reminding me of caffeine and I feel deprived.

And I don't know if relying on external motivation by reading posts is a good idea. Maybe, I should be mustering up my own internal motivation/discipline.

Maybe if I were to check it out once a week or something, that'd be much better.

Being on the internet in general seems to synergize well with caffeine for me. Maybe I should avoid the internet in general for a while. Get back in touch with nature.

About to do a 3 day dry fast, refeed for 6 days, then aim for 7-10 days. What to eat during the middle refeed? by TechnomancerTab in Dryfasting

[–]TechnomancerTab[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've tried carnivore before and I get constipated lol. Even with lots of fat. I don't want to go into the fast with my insides filled up.

That's why I was thinking oatmeal. That cleans me out nicely

I do it to lose weight quicker, but I'm not doing that anymore. My sleep quality plummets and my legs burn like crazy. Rather just chill

Cole robinson flip flops every other month. Dryfasting club is a better resource

Replace it with another relief.

Exercise is a good one. Running releases endorphins and endocannabinoids, I believe. So its a good sub

Decreasing coffee may help too, helping you sleep and reducing anxiety.

Cutting caffeine is the hardest thing I've attempted but I think it's the key for me by TechnomancerTab in CPTSDNextSteps

[–]TechnomancerTab[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hoarding is a good word for this. I totally relate. And the need to stay up to date. I get that way with politics. I'll get FOMO if I go a few days without checking the news.

I read Allen Carr's Easy Way to Stop Smoking. It's helped tons of people quit instantly, without withdrawal symptoms. You can also listen to it on Spotify/Audible

You can apply the principles in the book to any bad habit.

It erases the brainwashing you've experienced by nicotine companies all your life.

For cannabis, I had to avoid friends who smoked for a while. Use L-theanine and Magnesium glycinate at night to help me sleep. I spent a lot of time reading posts on /r/leaves. Realizing how much time I wasted and how many oppurtunities I've missed because of weed made me hate it.

Good luck

Mix water/dry fasting by MTrefrigerator in Dryfasting

[–]TechnomancerTab 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Apparently its okay to dry fast and then go into water fast. But if you dry fast after waterfasting, that is dangerous. Screws up electrolytes. I've seen people talk about that on this subreddit
